At our Tulsa, OK location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

there have been multiple times where they were out of chicken at lunch time. I understand running out at the end of the night, but lunch? I also really miss the spicy rub they had. last time I went, I thought i’d be able to grab something relatively fast, only 3 cars in the drive thru. it took about 45 minutes to get my food, when I got up to the window it looked like only one guy was working there. staffing and stocking seem to be consistent issues with the place.

food is always delicious though. I love the hush puppies. truly, I have never had anything there that tastes bad.

I have been going to this location regularly for a year now during my lunch breaks and I have ALWAYS been impressed by it all! The drive through workers are always sooo friendly and I’ve never had one that was just mediocre. That makes me feel like they are happy to give me fresh and delicious food with a smile and kindness in their voice. Food is always fresh and on point. Never one complaint from me. I am just continually impressed by the consistency of this admiral location. No…this is not an AI post. I am a real customer!

The manager Ms Brown is one of the rudest managers there is I went in early the door wa left unlocked where they could have gotten robbed. She treated me like I was some low life off the street. Went back to go eat at about 10::25 she walked into the lobby of t wa 5 minutes before they opened. She saw me there and turned and walked away. Waited till 10:39 when they opened. She never came to unlock the door I walked away. Won’t visit any establishment where I’m treated like that.

Update:. Hadn’t been to Captain D’s in a couple of years because the service had gotten so bad so we thought we’d try it again. My husband and I ordered off of the Senior menu as we’ve done since we retired a few years back. We both ordered the Senior Fish and Chicken meal, which includes a drink. The food was delicious. However, the chicken was barely more than two nuggets — at least half the portion that used to come with it. And we were given sippy size cups instead of the regular size that used to come with that meal. I asked why we got sippy cups and were told they were out of the regular size, which wasn’t true. I took a pic showing all their normal drink cups on the counter and no size seemed missing. So disappointed I Captain D’s. I grew up just a few blocks from one and we ate there often, and it was always a five star experience. After giving them another try, I think we’re just going to give up on this restaurant.

DISCLAIMER: I’m honored to be a Top 10 Reviewer for Google. I do my best to be fair and honest but realize your experience may differ from mine. So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. REVIEW: We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and love their food. However, the last 3 visits were horrible. Most recently, we ordered the fish and chicken combo. The food was good but it wasn’t until we received our meal we were told there was no ice for the drinks nor any utensils available to eat with. And no apology for either. The time we went before that we went through the drive thru and learned after we pulled away that we’d not received the coleslaw we ordered and paid for, and so we returned. Again, no apology for the inconvenience. The time before that we ordered the fish and chicken dinner but they failed to give us the chicken. Plus, the fries were so cold they were like rubber. When we went back to get the order corrected, there was no apology, again, and the employee was rude. For those reasons, we no longer give them a five star rating but can only give them one star now.

1 out of 10 and 10 being the best I would give it a 3, would i go back probably not, for 1, I didn’t know what kind of fish I was eating and plus it was tasteless, mac and cheese was good, the lady that served us had a scowl on her face like if she didn’t want to be there, she didn’t look happy at all, we wasn’t greeted when we was waiting at the counter for about 5 minutes.

Not the way I remembered Captain D for sure! Only one or two locations remained in Tulsa. It seems the quality is not the same!
The bisque crab soup, it was microwaved long enough to melt the styrofoam and served. The fish, the crab cake and the shrimps… what can I say … not fresh, not the same!!!!!

ive been coming here at the same location for over 40 years..Ms.Brown is a fantastic person..thank you..the food was good and hot..everything seemed cooked fresh..whoever owns the building really needs to spend some money on the inside..at least 1/2 of the ceiling tiles are stained and need replaced..but…the food and service was still great..

Zach the manager from this location was the best we drove in last night and got told they were closed through the window because and that came from a customer because they were ignoring us behind the counter both doors locked at 6 pm sign said open till 10 but didn’t get in called this morning Zach answered and told us to give him a chance to make up for the rude people and so we did and the whole staff treated us great Thanks Zach

Told cashier first time visiting ok let me know when you’re ready. Fish, fries & hush puppies were plain. No taste. Fish were like cardboard fries no salt. Don’t waste your $$$ & time here.
