I am celiac so always nervous to order takeout. This place was amazing! I ordered the Cesar salad GF and the GF pasta with GF carbonara sauce. It was the best GF pasta ever! The sauces were clearly marked on the menu which were GF and the waitress reassured my husband at pickup the items were GF. I did not have a reaction to the food and was so good! Highly recommend for those looking for GF options in the area that taste amazing!

Wonderful Italian Dining! The owner visits each table making sure all is A+. I ordered eggplant parmesan and my husband ordered the spaghetti carbonara. We would go back. Cassie was our server and made excellent recommendations.

Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday October 22nd 2025 with my parents and Uncle. In total, we were a party of 4- we were going to be a party of 6, but last minute cancelation– which is no big deal! Located in a strip mall on Surfside Beach, Valentinos is a Italian Restaurant that has lots of tables, and including a bar area. One small thing is that some of the tables are close together, but one does get used to it. On the menu, they have seafood dishes, chicken dishes, pasta dishes, and veal dishes, as well as pizza. We were greeted by a smiling hostess who sat us down. Our server marissa greeted us right away, and we all had waters. For appetizers, we got the eggplant rollenti, and Fried Calamari. Loved that the fried calamari was very tender and not chewy at all or over fried! The Calamari was very enjoyable too! We also got served bread, as well as Garlic knots, which were both very good- sometimes if one goes out to eat garlic knots can be very garlicy, not this place! Marissa also made sure to refill our waters in a timely manner. We also ordered entrees, and kudos to Marissa for letting us take our time, since I had to decide what I wanted and was looking at like 3 options lol. kudos for Marissa for also knowing the specials! For entrees, I ordered Lingini With Clams, which also came with a soup or salad- i chose Pasta Fagioli. My dad ordered the special Shrimp and Scallops Pasta with a salad, and my mom and Uncle ordered the same thing the chicken Salbocka with Salad. Also, kudos to Marissa who asked if we would like the salad with our appetizers- and asked if it was okay to bring the items out. Loved my pasta Fagioli Soup! my family members also enjoyed their salad too. I also very much enjoyed my entree the Linguini with Clams! Clams were delicious and easy to pull out, and pasta was delicious! The other people in my party also enjoyed their food. My mom even boxed up her food to take it home for the next day! Got our check fast and paid via credit card, and left a cash tip. Would Definitely Come here again!

We visited this restaurant around 2 PM and were the only people in the entire place, with the exception of one other in another room. They say it gets busier around 4 PM. It felt very strange so empty and next time will go later. First impression was the fragrance from Fabuloso cleaning supply — needs to be toned down or use something else. Decor was pleasant with soft lighting, a lot of tables to accommodate all party sizes.
I ordered eggplant parm from their lunch menu which included salad. Both are EXCELLENT! My husband ordered pizza and it, too, was excellent.

Being relatively new to Pawleys Island, we decided to branch out in search of an old style Italian restaurant. We didn’t have to go far – The Original Valentino Italian Restaurant at 323 US-17 BUS in Surfside Beach. Very much an old style Italian restaurant where the owner greets the guests individually table side. The menu is “full” – meats, pastas, and pizza. We decided to go light with a pizza. It’s been a long time since I had a real NY style pizza. Our server, Cassi, was great – friendly, professional, and efficient. Next time, and there will be a next time, I’ll try some pasta. Then on to the marinated veil chop (a special). I’d highly recommend The Original Valentino Italian Restaurant for a great Italian meal!

Nothing says “authentic Italian” like Parmesan from a jar. That was the first red flag. The bruschetta came loaded with olives. I didn’t notice it on the menu, totally my miss, but they weren’t able to make it without them. Apparently, substitutions were off the table for that dish.
Then came the “salad,” which was mostly iceberg lettuce ends, a few cucumbers, a tomato slice or two, and plenty of raw onions. I got it with their house balsamic, which didn’t do much to improve it. Very underwhelming.
The eggplant Parmesan and spaghetti with meat sauce were just okay. Nothing memorable. Think family-style, cafeteria-adjacent food with no spark. The Diablo pasta had no heat, the noodles were overcooked, and the house-made sausage had the flavor profile of damp bread. I had to ask for crushed red pepper just to give it a pulse.
The bread was the surprise highlight. Warm, crisp, and actually delicious. But it was served with butter, which felt totally out of place. I had to request olive oil with seasonings which they brought, but it should have been standard.
Lunch prices were fair. The best part of the experience was the staff. They were attentive, kind, and clearly doing their best with what they had to work with. Honestly, they saved the meal.
In short, not terrible, but definitely not great. If you’re looking for bold flavors and authentic Italian food, you’ll want to look elsewhere. But if you’re okay with jarred cheese, iceberg lettuce, and excellent service, this place might still work for you.

We love Valentino’s!!!
Whenever we visit Myrtle or Surfside Beach, we ALWAYS have at least one dinner at Valentino’s.
Last night we enjoyed calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Both were delicious.
The salads were good, as well as the pasta Fagioli.
For our entrees, we had chicken parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs, and pizza. Their chicken parmesan is fantastic. The pizza is also really good.
The atmosphere is casual Italian, cozy with a bar and entertainment area.
The owners are very friendly and our server Chelsea was polite, fast, and professional.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant ✅️

We went to Valentino’s for dinner with a large party and it was exceptional. I was thrilled they had braciola with pappardelle pasta. It made me fee like I was in Italy. Scrumptious! Everyone loved the food and the service was impeccable too.Highly recommend for an authentic Italian meal.
