Good place to eat at the lake. The views and outside seating are great. The Onion rings and smoke wings with garlic Parmesan are a must. Next time I would get the sauce on the side, it was a bit much for my taste.

The ambiance is awesome. Beautiful spot with views of the lake. We loved that the music was not loud. Our server had a great attitude and was very attentive. Our meal came out hot and fast. No waiting, really. The food tasted ok. Didn’t have much flavor but there was enough of it. The fish was pasty. The salad dressing was just enough to give a little taste. With an $85 bill, one would think we would get more than a little thimble of dressing. The creamed corn was bland. Literally, creamed corn out of a can tastes better. The order of onion rings had two of them. Two. (2). Dos. Deux.

A very relaxing place to have dinner. The wings were a bit too tough and over smoked for our liking however; the blackened snapper was great. Service was excellent. We will definitely visit again in the summer.

They were very busy and do not take reservations. We got in under an hour with 9 people in our group. Food was wonderful, and our server was the greatest. So nice and so very attentive to our needs. Jessie T. Was amazing. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and she helped with the cake and made everything so perfect. Best waitress I have ever had. Thank you Jessis. Would give her 10 stars.

Although we were not able to enjoy the view because we were there after dark, the restaurant is on the water and has a great patio and view. We were seated pretty fast and while we waited there was a bar to get drinks. The waitress was very attentive and the food all came out fast and hot. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we would all return there for sure.

Sadly the management relies solely on their beautiful lake location to bring people into the restaurant! The food is just not that good! It would be awesome if they put more effort into the quality of the food they are serving! There doesn’t seem to be any attention paid to the little details that take a meal experience from just ok to amazing! I ordered coffee and ask for creamer. When I opened the creamer it was pretty much solid… not a good thing for sure as it had gone bad! They don’t filter their water and they don’t tell you their water is very bad tasting so they bring it to you and then you have to order a different drink because it’s so bad…. The servers could mention the water issue to anyone who orders it and avoid this situation..just so many things could be done by management to greatly enhance the dining experience!

The ice cream is great! Decided to get one of those BIG cookies, it was burned black on the bottom. I sent my daughter to buy me one that’s not burned. She came back with another burned cookie. She said they called it crispy. The only place that a burned cookie belongs is in the trash. She said they called it “crispy.” Crispy is not the same as burned to black. Not enjoyable to eat.

On vacation!! I have family in Alabama so my sister, and great nephew spent a week in Alexander City. The restaurant is at Lake Martin, a popular place for water sports and fishing. Totally family friendly, it has great views of the lake and sandy areas for the kids to play. Even has food so that kids and adults can feed the fish in the lake!! Food is American, but with a few southern dishes. We mainly had appetizers since we weren’t really hungry and the smoked wings, onion dip with house made potato chips and pimento cheese with spicy pickles and crackers were very tasty! Plenty for the 5 of us!! Me and my cousin’s girl ordered the grilled Gulf shrimp dinner that comes with 1 side and hushpuppies. Nicely seasoned and not overcooked. Decent beer and wine selections. I’m looking forward to going again when I go back and I recommend you do too if you’re in the area!!

Great location, beautiful views of Lake Martin. A private small beach area with man-made white sandy shores and outside dining available. Good food and service and great place for a stop on a bike ride. But no meal splitting without a fee?

We stop here at least once or twice a season for drinks, sometimes an appetizer or a meal. We’ve always been happy with the quality of the food.

Here’s something I didn’t realize, they charge a split fee if you’re not hungry enough to warrant individual meals. It’s rare that I’ll even consider sharing a meal, but I had just eaten, so we decided to split a PBT sandwich (which I’m told was good) and one side. The waitress informed me of the split fee and offered a way around it it by ordering an extra side or an appetizer.

I opted to get my own meal, but wasn’t very pleased to learn of the fee. We had already ordered beer on top of our meal and might’ve ordered another had that policy not turned me off.

Bottom line, I won’t be paying a split fee. Let’s see, I have in the past ordered an appetizer and drinks without a split fee. We’ve also ordered just drinks without a fee. So what’s the difference in ordering one entree and three or four drinks?

Yes, we’ll keep frequenting the place, but they should really reconsider this policy, especially on a slow winter day. My future stops will likely exclude food.

There really isn’t much to do in this area of the country. Not a lot of big cities close by and things shut down early. I was traveling on business and the local people invited me to this place. It is located by Lake Martin which is beautiful. The food is reasonably priced and is decidedly Southern or at least what someone like me from Michigan would expect to be Southern. Everything was delicious. I had the blackened catfish. Another person in my party got a loaded baked sweet potato which was incredible. Definitely a nice place to spend the evening and take in the scenery.
