We’ve been to Eaton Place in Charlotte before, and while it’s usually just “okay,” customer service has never been great. This experience was far worse.
I placed a pickup order while they were busy. I ordered corned beef hash and the Belt Buster breakfast for my family. When I arrived, I was greeted by an irritated server whose first words were not “welcome,” but “what are you here for.” Not a great start, but I brushed it off. I waited about a minute for the food, which was totally fine.
Once I got home, the food itself tasted okay at the time. However, later that day my wife developed severe stomach pain and couldn’t stay off the toilet. By 2 a.m., she was vomiting so violently that a blood vessel burst in her eye, and she began running a fever. Within the next day, both my daughter and I developed the exact same symptoms.
This was not a mild illness — it was miserable, scary, and completely avoidable. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise against eating here. It’s absolutely not worth the risk of going through what our family went through.

The feel of the place is a small ma ‘n’ pa shop style. The food portions were well worth the prices. I couldn’t eat everything. I had a salad, and It was enormous, as well as pretty good! We were seated next to other people rather close, and I could hear every word from the conversation from other people. I would recommend this location for a lunch.

The food was ok, honestly the price of the food for eating out here was way too high since the quality was not great. Dead animals on the wall, not a family friendly place. Went for breakfast and waited 30 minutes up front for seating. Plenty of empty tables and had a couple of waitresses walk by by me without acknowledging me at all. Including the big guy manager who looked directly at me a few times yet never said a word like we will be with you in a moment. I have been going here for nearly 2 decades but now no more. Service and Quality have gone way down. Used to have 2 types of fish for Friday fish fry, not anymore. My omelets have been burnt the last 5 times, fries over cooked. I think I have given this place enough opportunity but it is showing consistently poor management.

Stopped in for dinner on the way home on Saturday. I ordered a hot beef sandwich and my mom ordered the Ribs special. Food was great, Ribs fell off the bone. The salad bar was a hit, as there a few places with them any longer. Service was great and they have a huge selection of pies. We will be back and hope to try breakfast.

Excellent place for breakfast! The western omelet that I had was awesome! Big chunks of ham and veggies. Very good American Fries too. Service was excellent. Give J&J a try, it’s a great place to eat.
