This is a little bit out of the way, but worth the trip. The burgers are excellent, and the fries are pretty good too. They don’t stay open very late though so you have to get here early.

Great burger and crinkle cut fries! Little on the pricier side but worth it every once in a while or if you’re driving through the area. Going to order the green chili burger next time!

Know for burgers although they have a selection of a few sandwiches. You sit at picnic tables inside or out. Unique place in a small town. The portions are large.

Been wanting to try this for awhile. Heard both good and so-so reports from people. Stopped by on a day out with the family. Lunch time was fairly busy. Not a large inside seating area but there is a outdoor shaded patio. We managed to dodge the rain storms. Had the simple bacon cheeseburger with a slice of onion and fries. Good service and didnt have to wait too long. Fries were fine, basic crinkle cut. Burger had outstanding flavor and wonderful char. Great bun as well, burger was just a touch dry. Pretty good lunch, not oh my gosh outstanding but worth a stop.

Burger was good; I’m not at all disappointed for talking their recommendation of the green Chili cheeseburger (although I should have specified i wanted it cooked medium – it came well done but still somewhat juicy). The bun was flat but delicious. Service was friendly & it’s amazing that a little place like this just happens to have einstök toasted porter on draft.
2 stars for atmosphere because there was nowhere to sit inside & i had to sit outside in the cold (40°). If they had smaller tables, I would have been able to find a seat inside. More than one of the 4-top tables had 2 customers or less.

Not too far off the beaten path, just off of highway 183 between Lampasas and Austin is this wonderful General Store which serves an awesome lunch. We always opt for the burger and fries with a soda pop of which there are many to choose from. We love the friendliness of the visitors who have welcomed us to sit at their table, when busy, and the shop keeper who takes our order and brings our meal to our table when we visit. There aren’t many of these type places, and this is a gem worth visiting.

In my 63 years, I’ve eaten hamburgers in all parts of the country and Andice General Store offers a top notch burger experience. I had the jalapeno cheeseburger and it easily makes my Top 3 all-time!
Extremely friendly staff as well.

A friend recommended the hamburgers so I decided to make the 15 minute drive to Andice to check it out, along with my special needs stepson. We were not disappointed. I had the 1/2 pound bacon cheeseburger with everything on it. My stepson had a regular hamburger with french fries & a Sprite. The food was delicious. The service was prompt & friendly. There were only about 6 or 7 small tables inside, but it was cozy. So cozy, in fact, we struck up conversations with several of the patrons eating inside. We left happy & with full tummies. I highly recommend making the short drive to Andice General Store if you want a casual country store environment, a savory hamburger, or maybe just a friendly conversation.

This was my first visit to this little town of 25. What a great little drive to enjoy fellowship and good food with a great group of peeps!
The most surprising was the beer on tap choices. IPA blonde for the win!
