We’ve been coming to this restaurant since I was 8 years old. (Back when it was La Mex 20-some years ago lol) Their enchiladas opened up a whole new world for me. The recipe has stayed the same and the menu has only gotten better over the years. I love that they offer black beans, I love both kinds, but it’s different than other Mexican fare. They also have the best shrimp in town. I drive hours just to eat here, if that tells you how good it is. I love how they bring you hot crispy tortilla chips and if you can’t handle the heat of jalapenos, you can get pico sans the spicy. Hehe I also love love LOVE their queso! Absolutely no Mexican restaurants I have been to even compare, so I definitely recommend that as a must-try. Also my first love; the shredded beef enchilada. I’m telling you, it will wrap your tummy up in a warm comforting siesta hug. I also really love that you can get blackberry tea here. It is a bit of an up-charge, but if you’re going out, you really should treat yourself, okay? Their red sauce is different than the original recipe, but still good. They also have bomb Mexican rice. Most places it is bland or not well-balanced, but here it is buttery and flavorful, but not overpowering or lacking in any way. Love this place. The staff are always so friendly and on top of their game and the atmosphere is festive and cozy.

I was in town for work and my colleagues recommended this place. To start off my visit, I waited a good 5 minutes before being seated. Usually that’s great, except there wasn’t any other customers in there. I opened the door again to make the doorbell go off, and still waited. Once I finally was seated, the waiter was kind. His name is Alex. He got my drink, chips, and salsa quickly. I ordered the supreme nachos. I added their chipotle sauce which I highly recommend doing because it is good but spicy! If it weren’t for that sauce, I don’t think I would have liked the nachos. They were just very bland. The beans were very dry. Other than the wait to be seated, and the okay nachos, the building is beautiful and the atmosphere is nice! The menu had many appealing options, so if I ever do come back, I will try something else.

Excellent food and a terrific staff … everyone is so friendly. The chips were light and crunchy, and they make great hot sauce … I got both the spicy and the mild, and both were tasty. Best of all they serve one of my favorite dishes, sopapillas! I visited while my vehicle was at the shop next door; I may being my car in for tire rotation more often so I have a reason to get lunch!

we’re back! I had the jalapeño ranch water margarita and one of each of their taco Tuesday tacos! the spicy sauce this was green and I love it
we thought it was taco Tuesday.! Oh well so we just got chips and salsa and the margarita that we ordered. The salsa was bland and like puree So I asked for a spicy one. It finally came out a little while later but was a little too chunky my partner couldn’t eat any of that because he doesn’t like onions. We got the cranberry margarita on special it was good but not big enough to share. server just needs to give us a heads up that we need two because these drinks are weak. Maybe We’ll try it again when it’s taco Tuesday!

The food photographs well, and I never like to give a bad review, but I would only return for the drinks because the bartender was on point! It took 5 min of standing at the door with no one to seat us. The couple ahead of us had to walk around to find someone to seat everyone waiting. I only make this a point because there was maybe only 4 tables occupied so they were not busy at this point. Then when we were seated, it took a literal 15 min to get chips and salsa and our drinks (water at this point) and the waiter was walking by serving other tables that sat down after us. The queso was super thick and broke the chips every time we tried to dip it. My tortilla was hard and couldn’t fork my way though. The “grilled chicken” was absolutely not grilled, I think it was boiled. The rice was hard and not fully cooked. The table next to us said they had been waiting 10 min for someone to bring them their check. The place was nice inside and really clean, but I’m not sure what was going on! They switched waiters on us and the girl we had did amazing!

The food we received was good, but one of us didn’t receive our meal until after everyone else had finished eating. It was also after telling them to cancel that meal because everyone else had finished eating. We were asked to forgive them because they hadn’t been that busy in 3 months, so I would not recommend going there during busy times.

I was so surprised. I’d never gone here before, but I was sure glad I went! The food was so good!! The service excellent. The restaurant was clean and appeared to be well managed. I will be going back!
