I ordered a burger and fries, and while everything was cooked correctly, the flavor didn’t really stand out. The burger was decent but a little on the plain side, and the fries were good but nothing memorable. It definitely hit the spot, just not in a way that made me think “I have to come back for this.”
The prices were fair for what you get, and the portion sizes were solid. It’s the kind of place that works when you’re craving something quick and simple, but it didn’t quite reach that “wow” factor for me
Unfortunately, the dessert experience didn’t live up to the same standard. My ice cream with Oreos came in a kids-size portion and felt more like a cup of crushed cookies with a tiny scoop of ice cream. Another order, which was supposed to be a simple vanilla sundae with caramel drizzle and a cherry, was overly drenched in caramel and messy. The milkshake was also off and didn’t match what was ordered.
While we did enjoy the time spent together as a family, the sweet treats left us disappointed. Hopefully next time the dessert experience will match the quality of the food and service.
Add to that, the fact that they have now not been able to get an order right on the two visits… Then take forever to correct it… And lastly, but not their fault, another customer steps on a mustard package and my coat is covered in mustard. Their response, ohhh… Well here’s a couple of napkins. Not their fault…. but a rather lousy response.
Several times me and my coworkers have ordered food online. The website provides you an estimated time the food, and I typically plan to be there 10-15 after, so I don’t have to sit and wait.
Almost every time I arrive, the food is not ready, sometimes even standing around for 20 more minutes, coming out to 30-40 minutes to make 4 meals.
This occasion was especially offensive. I got there ~30 minutes after ordering, still had to wait for them to finish, then when I get back to work find out one of my drinks is almost empty.
I never have these problems at any other Culver’s, and frequently eat at the Ladson and Summerville locations. NEVER CHOOSE THIS LOCATION OVER THE OTHERS.
First, the tables and seating area were filthy. I found crinkle-cut fries stuffed between the seat cushion and the back of the booth, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. It makes you wonder what else isn’t being properly maintained.
Then, my burger arrived, and I couldn’t believe how burnt it was. There were holes in the patty from not using enough meat. The patty was overcooked to the point of being nearly inedible, with a dry, charred texture. This wasn’t just a slight overcook—it was completely unacceptable. If this is what they consider good food, I won’t be coming back.
Then we waited twelve minutes to get a kids custard after we ate what we could. We couldn’t wait any longer and gave up on the custard.
Overall, the combination of poor cleanliness and badly prepared food made for a really bad experience. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Hopefully, management takes these issues seriously and improves both the food quality and cleanliness standards.
