I was in Hernando and saw this place while I was on my way to do training. I decided to look them up on google and I saw that they had mostly good reviews, so I decided to give them a try and I’m so glad that I did. Everything was so good!! That green apple/ blue raspberry slush OMG so 20/10 add the warhead sour stuff too Although my burger was a tad bit salty it was still good I will definitely go here again whenever I’m in Hernando!

The “Dip”, been coming here since I was a kid and it is one of my favorite spots in desoto county hands down. For a small place having such a big menu, this place is always consistent, friendly, and a good bite to eat or perfect for a dessert. Absolutely love velvet cream

This place has always been a stop for us when we are in the area, but for snowcones and for ice cream. This time we actually looked at the whole menu online and ordered several of their dessert options and burgers. Can I say wow!! They have so many fun and different choices. You can ultra customize within each choice. The prices are comparable to other fast food places. The food was hot, fresh, and delightful! It was by far one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. I got the mushroom Swiss one and customized it. My son got the one that had jalapeño poppers in it and he got a sundae that was MASSIVE and he had to share with the other teenagers in the car. I say it has easily moved up to one of our drive and splurge trips for food and sweets!!! If you’re in the area I say you don’t want to miss it!! I will however add the caveat that the service isn’t always the best or friendliest but most places are that way these days. Order online and just grab it that’s what we did.

First it was the demise is food quality. Now I go there just for shakes and smoothies. After today no more. Simple peach smoothie. What do I click on to get there. 101 different ingredients. No simplicity. Too difficult to deal with and wait is too long even for someone to come to the window to take your order. Or do we not even do that anymore. What was once an awesome place to go to is no longer for me and my family.

The app deletes your order every time you try placing it. Spent 20 minutes trying to place an order 3 separate times before choosing to go elsewhere. Order is always a problem here.

I was hoping for a really great lunch. Was disappointed to say the least.
Ordered the phili cheese steak sandwich. The meat was more of a cheap steak ripped apart. The meat was hard on the edges, which makes me believe the meat is old. And it had a foul taste to it. I took two bites.

I am new to Hernando and have been wanting to try The Velvet Cream specifically the ice cream…small town feel…drive up vibe. Super disappointed. First of all, there is a self serve order screen or you can wait forever and order from a person, who never came to the window. Small town feels lost. Once order was placed by machine, we waited 14 minutes for our ice cream that came melted. When I went back up to the window to see if I could replace for a shake or redo, he said nope and handed me a $10 bill and shut the window. We left went to Area 51 and got the most delicious ice cream, great service and will for sure go back there. Sorry The Dip…you got dumped!
