Had lunch here today. Couldn’t eat all my food. I love the chips. They are thin and crisp. My favorite. Our waiter was very helpful. I am partly deaf and he realized that. He made sure to face.me.when he spoke. (I can read lips)

We chose this restaurant while staying at a nearby hotel, and since Mexican food is one of my favorites, the positive reviews made it seem like a good choice. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.

While the food itself was acceptable, the service was the worst we’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. The staff seemed disconnected, unhappy—almost miserable—and interactions felt curt and unwelcoming- especially the man who seated us and then paid on the way out. There was little eye contact, no smiles from anyone, and we honestly felt our presence was a nuisance.

By the end of the meal, we couldn’t wait to leave. Given the number of positive reviews, our whole experience has me genuinely puzzled.

Only rating a 2 because there was a hard bone in one of my tacos. Ordered 4 chicken tacos, 2 in each plate, right? First plate, absolutely fire, amazing, I then proceeded onto the next plate. The first bite in I had a pretty big chunk of hard bone in my mouth. Spit it out and threw away the rest. First time trying this place and I also got no receipt. Don’t think I received the Tuesday $1.25 price for the tacos either. Older genltman at the register was very nice.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed everything about it. I only took one star from atmosphere bc we had some loud people sitting a few tables away from us, although that isn’t the fault if the restaurant, just our experience. The chips are thin (my fav kind!), the salsa was good, and our food was on point. Everything came out very quickly and our server was on top of everything as well. We got drink refills as needed. This may be our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Cape

We struck gold finding this treasure of a restaurant near our hotel as we passed through Cape Girardeau!
Five stars in all three categories: food, service, and atmosphere!
The interior is bright and festive with unique art and lighting fixtures.
The chips are perfectly thin/crispy, the menu is full of fabulous dishes, and the combination plate I ordered hit the spot for my craving of authentic Mexican cuisine.
I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be dining here again!
Gracias, El Acapulco!

Though the restaurant is named El-Acapulco, it’s not a Mexican restaurant! The ambience is left to be desired. The food is awful though the waitress who doesn’t speak English tried to do her job. I ordered a shrimp fajita and the veggies that came with it were simply swimming in a sea of a dubious sauce. So I decided to get the shrimp with my French fries. Ultimately I had to pay a dear price. And the irony of ironies, the cashier asked for a tip. … Unbelievable.

My family have been in several times and the food is delicious! The tacos El pastor and Jerez special are outstanding. Great salsa, it’s a must stop.

I stopped in on a Tuesday night, which happened to be taco Tuesday! They were quick to seat me, took my drink order and provided me some suggestions. I opted for the Briaa tacos and was happy that I did. These tacos were exploding with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, the juice for the tacos. I found the restaurant to be very clean. I was a little shocked when I ordered a crown and seven and they put it in a giant soda glass but I’m not complaining!
