Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

brought out food and asked all 3 cars “are you Jessica?” The 3rd car said yes, but then said the name on the bag isn’t Jessica. It was my food!?! Good thing I checked because the order wasn’t correct. I had to go inside to get the missing items. Food was cold and for a busy place the fries were old too.
For starters, I placed my order through the phone (mobile app) and I scheduled for later pickup. I arrived earlier than my scheduled time, and to my surprise, staff retrieved my food already on a tray. My question: what’s the point of scheduling for a future time for fresh food, if the food will be done earlier than the timeframe and waiting to cool down? I did speak with a staff member at this point, and I think her name was Caitlyn (if I recall correctly, and it may have been Kaitlyn or another variation of the spelling). She had attitude from the get-go in how she spoke with me.
Later, I went to use the men’s restroom and after washing my hands, went for the paper towels. There were no paper towels. Instead, a roll of toilet paper was atop the paper towel dispenser (see attached picture). I left the restroom with my hands dripping and went to the front counter. While my hands are visibly wet, I let the staff member know there were no more paper towels in the men’s restroom. He responded by letting me know that there should be paper towels in the restroom and if not, to use napkins. So I repeated back to him (the staff member), “I need to use napkins to dry my hands?” He, then, said that he would have the paper towels refilled (finally getting somewhere, or so I thought). I responded by asking if he could bring paper towels for my hands at that point. He then responded with, “that’s where I’m going.” My question (in my head): how would or should I know that you are retrieving paper towels at that point, if you are standing in place and talking to me, not even moving your shoe a specific direction to let me know that you’re moving or to which direction? I said, “okay, I’ll wait.” He, then, takes a little bit to grab the paper towels and comes back. I let him know that if he would have communicated with me that he was going to get paper towels, then I wouldn’t have needed to clarify. Then, he tells me that he thought it was “obvious” since he was headed that direction. Again, my question (in my head): are you asking me to be a mindreader?
Before I left the store, I asked the staff member (unnecessary, much-longer-than-needed conversation about the paper towels) for his name and he told me “Daniel.” I let him know that I’d contact the corporate office about my experience. He didn’t say anything. I figured at this point he would have tried to apologize to make things right, but nothing.
On the way out of the location, I mentioned to another customer that the staff had attitudes and she agreed. She was a complete stranger and agreed. How sad.
I contacted the corporate office tonight and explained the above, and have asked for a return call. Hopefully, I receive one. To reiterate, I have been to this location for breakfast before and never had issues until tonight.
We will not go back .
