1000 Figs is located just off of Esplanade Avenue in Bayou St. John. 3141 Ponce de Leon, New Orleans. Our hours are. Monday – Saturday 11:00am – 9pm.

Nice visit. Limited menu, which I don’t mind if the limitations are executed.
I Ordered the chicken pita, my friend had the chicken platter, both were pretty good. Only drawback is the temperature of the chicken in both entrees wasn’t HOT as if it wasnt cooked per order, just a moderate temperature & having many slaws/salad in the chicken pita that isn’t hot didn’t really help. I love the seasoned sweet potatoes in the harissa sauce. Hummus & FRESH (not hot ) focaccia delicious. & those brown butter chocolate chip cookies, lovely!
I hope in the future more proteins like lamb can be added, however, not a bad visit.

Extremely delicious Mediterranean food!!! I have a lot of experience with the cuisine and 1000 figs is very well done. Their falafel balls are perfectly crispy, and the dips absolutely incredible! My only critic is that the pita is a bit too thin, making it soggy and fall apart. But if they can get the pita right, it would be a perfect execution!

I took falafal platter, food was fresh and hot. Amazing and warm service. Salad was crunchy with toasted sesame seeds and raisins. I did not had reservation and was tight on time as I was heading to airport. The staff was kind enough to accomodate me in a full restaurant with minimal wait. I was full after the meal and content.
(PS. If they can reduce the lemon/ sour taste in food , that will be just perfect.)

Found this place while searching for somewhere to get vegetarian and non vegetarian options and I have always loved Mediterranean cuisine….so after taking tramp and almost getting lost not knowing where to get off as the tramp started back up where it had just come from the panick was settling when my friend said lets get down I think we are going back. Once out on the road we realized the way to this restaurant is almost half hour walk and that’s what we exactly decided to do and work up our appetite . Upon reaching this place had a warm welcome feel with cute Lil steps to go inside and order and the person behind register helped us pick right food options and got cute table outside to sit and enjoy the view and vibe and got some wine (which after accidentally spilling got free refill from them even though I was ready to pay as it was my fault but they were kind to just give another glass). Sorry was so hungry just took quick pic of food and started munching on it right away and my goodness the food was so delicious (we ordered Falafel platter and chicken sandwich and side of falafel). Worthy of walking half hour to this place….hopefully won’t repeat mistake of missing the stop but ready to walk all the way if we have to

Intention is visible & felt in every inch of this place. The food is always fresh and cooked with high quality ingredients, decadent without feeling heavy. I can come on any kind of day and eat like a king for $20 or less, and I never leave without my heart feeling full. Shoutout to the amazing staff who genuinely care about community. AND THE CHEFS!

Had lunch with my wife here the other day and was pleasantly surprised!!!
The food, atmosphere and hospitality were above our expectations. We had not planed on having lunch there but we stumbled upon the place and decided to give it a try. I’M SO GLADWEDID!!! The food was delicious. My wife had the chicken sandwich and I ordered the salad. They where both perfect

Excellent food. I had the spiced chicken platter. The chicken was moist and well flavored. The salad on the platter was delicious.The Brussel sprouts are amazing. Great service.

Amazing little place! Very fresh, and delicious Mediterranean cuisine. 1000 Figs is a hidden gem! It’s on the second floor. I didn’t see an elevator, but there is seating outside. You may be able to order ahead and sit outside without having to go up the stairs.
We sat inside. We both ordered the falafel platter. The portions are pretty big. Everything was fresh and delicious. The tables have little drawers in them that hold the cutlery and napkins! What a great idea!
It was very busy the day we had lunch here. There were no tables open and it got pretty loud.
The servers were all very nice and welcoming.
The artwork in the restaurant is really cool too!
