Jose Rustrian brought so much joy and fun
He told some funny stories and a bunch and I mean a bunch of free candy. I used to hate go out to eat but I would go every day just to see this guy Jose now I see the fun in going to dinner. I definitely recommend
FOOD
I ordered a small steak and when I say it was amazing like I’m mean it
We also ordered stolie dolie which was a great drink
And so was the red wine

A magnificent steakhouse with a warm, wood-paneled ambiance and truly majestic dining rooms.
From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional — attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely caring throughout the entire evening. They even surprised me with a beautifully presented dessert for my birthday, which was a wonderful touch.
We tried a wide range of dishes, and every single one was outstanding. The lobster-and-steak combination was superb, the lobster thermidor-style specialty was perfectly prepared, and the thick-cut grilled bacon was excellent. The calamari were tender and flavorful, and the crab cake was beautifully executed. We finished with a rich chocolate tart, the perfect ending to a remarkable meal.
This is the kind of restaurant where you can order anything on the menu with confidence — everything is delicious and impeccably prepared. I did not pay for the meal, but given the central Boston location and the level of quality, I imagine the prices are on the higher side. That said, the superb service and consistently excellent dishes fully justify the cost.
An outstanding dining experience. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking to enjoy one of Boston’s top steakhouses.
Before we were even seated, we had the opportunity to step into the working kitchen and meet Chef David Cox, who has been with this location for 30 years. Instead of a quick hello, he welcomed us in and personally gave us a full tour.
He walked us through their in-house dry-aging process, showing the racks up close and explaining how the color and texture change as the beef ages. He then broke down how they select and cut their steaks based on where they sit along the rib side. The cuts closest to the rib are best suited for rare, then moving down naturally fits medium rare and medium. That level of detail and precision doesn’t happen by accident. It’s experience.
Dinner itself reflected everything he explained. Perfect sear, evenly cooked edge to edge, properly rested. You could taste the consistency.
What stood out most was his pride in the process. No ego. No secrets. Just a professional who clearly respects his craft.
To top it off, he sent us home with their seasoning and garlic butter so we could try the method ourselves.
Great food is expected at a place like this. Leadership, longevity, and that level of hospitality are what make it exceptional.
We’ll absolutely be back.
*Edited to add … the confetti was ours for the 40th Birthday.
We started with a grilled peach burrata salad & French onion soup. Both of which were filled with flavor and zest.
Our meals…left me speechless. The filet and chicken breasts were juicy, tender and perfected with the au gratin and asparagus sides.
We celebrated my birthday and they brought out a petite dessert of cheesecake and chocolate cake.
Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.
Highly recommend celebrating an anniversary here!
