I love this little place, it takes you back in time. I remember going to diners like this all the time growing up. But what I loved most was the random Monument guy who excitedly said, “Kelly!! How are you?! What are you doing here?!” And then he chuckled in disbelief.
I’m not Kelly. But he was so damn happy to see her/me that I couldn’t break his heart, so I just went with it and a gave him a hug haha.
The food was great. The service was great. The black coffee was great. It felt like nostalgic…like how the world felt to me in the early 90s. And yes, that means I started drinking coffee as a child. Judge if you must.

We were told by our server that the kitchen staff doesn’t speak English so that’s why meals are coming out wrong. That’s a major issue for the establishment.. someone needs to be able to communicate with all staff.
We reached out to management about a week ago and haven’t heard back.

Unfortunately, the last four or more times we have come in the food quality has been lacking.
Some examples being the breakfast potatoes undercooked (more than half of the portion being nearly raw cubes of potato) so much butter on toast that it’s dripping into a puddle on the plate, a breakfast scrambler served in a cold skillet – it absorbed nearly all the heat from the food (shouldn’t the skillet be heated or at least warm? this was our first time ordering a skillet meal) I received the wrong toast with my breakfast and the correct toast never arrived after our server asked the kitchen for it – we had ordered our daughter her own toast – so logically we thought we wouldn’t be charged the $3.99 for her toast since mine never arrived and we shared hers – the receipt arrived in full.

We aren’t poor by any means, but $45-70 for breakfast or lunch is a treat for our family and we’d like to enjoy it.

It’s stuff like this that makes my husband and I not want to return, because we don’t know what quality of food we will receive, but we know you’re capable of amazing meals. Our first 10+ visits over the last year or so were incredibly delicious.

I just wanted to bring this to their attention because quality has really been lacking from the kitchen recently and it’s a bummer because we love Coffee Cup Cafe!

We have so many great breakfast options in Monument and this is definitely near the top of the list. Amazing breakfast there with family. The green chili is absolutely fresh and amazing.

Huevos Rancheros is the best in town.

My family of 4 from Louisiana enjoyed our breakfast here! We got fueled up for a big adventurous day! The lady working was very sweet and really seemed like she needed some help but overall did a good job and the food was AMAZING!

The coffee here has to be the best cup of plain old coffee I have ever tasted. I will visit again just because of the amazing coffee but then to top it off they had the audacity to make an eggs Benedict skillet that was amazing. Service was awesome and they even opened up their patio to accommodate us since we had the doggie with us.

Delicious, charming and the best cup of coffee around. I will be back!

The biscuits and gravy were the best bite of the morning! The ham and Egg scramble (omelette) was good but needed more cheese. Good local spot for food.

Restaurant was very busy with only one server. She was very nice, but was too busy to provide good service. The chicken and avocado salad was great, but the chorizo skillet was bland, undercooked, and cold.

Just a quick update that a group of us have been meeting here first Friday of the month for a while now. They have always been gracious to us as we typically need separate bills, have people join us late or the occasional guy with water only. They provide great service, and the food has always been fantastic. CCC is highly recommended by our group.

Everyone enjoyed our men’s gathering at the CCC. Food was great, and the staff was wonderful.
The sourdough toast, potatoes, bacon and eggs were perfect. I’m not a coffee drinker, but the rest of the crowd enjoyed theirs. The freshly squeezed orange juice was great(they have a juicing machine on site), but you should ask the cost as that was an unpleasant surprise.
The decor is as would be expected and includes a very wholesome theme.
We will certainly be returning.
Update: had a wonderful scrambler dish and enjoyed it much.

What a great place!

Staff: We were greeted warmly after waking in. There was a short wait for a table, but there is a nice lounge area to wait in.

Atmosphere: This is a warm little cafe and you’ll want to look around at the decore.

Food: The food was excellent! It was made to order and served piping hot. Everything tastes wonderful. I order a skillet and it was served to me in a cast iron skillet!

We would recommend this place to anyone and will come back if we’re in Monument in the future.

This place makes McDonald’s seem clean. We have some unidentified objects in the salt shakers. Silverware was also disgusting. Food was okay, definitely would bring your own condiments and silverware. Good luck .
