We love coming here for Tapas Tuesday – dinner w/wine pairings for $30! Absolutely incredible value – the dishes are always inventive and fresh, the wines a thoughtful complement. This week was grilled scallop mousse, something I’ve never heard of but it was oh-so-tasty, and the risotto was creamy deliciousness. The pastitsio was Fin’s take on the classic Greek comfort food, an upscale version of macaroni and cheese. Dessert was its usual incredible self – this week was flourless chocolate cake with crème Anglaise and vanilla ice cream – oh, so rich and unctuous! Service is relaxed and friendly, no rushing you out to increase table turnover here. It’s a lovely way to spend a Tuesday evening and spoil yourself with good conversation and a happy tummy! Definitely make reservations as Tapas Tuesday seats have a tendency to fill up quickly. And be on the lookout for their special event meals, with either wine or cocktails featuring a particular, usually local vineyard/distillery to complement the dishes. (Best to get on the email list) Highly recommended!

Everything was delicious. The presentation matched the flavor. Every dish had their own spin to them. BLT is pork belly not just bacon, the shrimp and pork belly grits also have pimento cheese. This was an excellent lunch with my lady friends. They had a few specials to pick from. The food was excellent… and plentiful. The wedge salad I started with was the best I’d ever tasted and the lump crab dip was amazing. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. There was only a single minor issue and it was resolved instantly. I shall eagerly return soon.

As a server since 2021 (4yrs) I will be returning. The cusine, service, presentation, atmosphere was incredible & phenomenal.
My server was, Corey. Very attentive, personable, knowledgeable, meticulous.
I drove to Newport News from Charlottesville Va. approximately over 2hrs, for a late birthday dinner ( he acknowledged the special occasion and even brought me a free dessert on the house )
The food for my table was coursed beautifully, silverware was removed and preset for all of my next course, I never had to ask for refills, empty glassware was removed from the table, before receiving my next cocktail.
Perception is half of reality, and judging by service, I will be returning, and recommending this to all of my friends.

I made a reservation for my daughter’s 21st birthday & asked if I could bring a birthday cake. I was told yes & nothing else was mentioned. When I was at home making my daughters cake I had found out their was a fee jusr to bring the cake to the restaurant. I personally been to a couple of places and worked personally in the industry never have a heard of a fee charge to bring a cake I made. We we arrived there I was notified of the fee I had found out through text on the same day. It was our 1st time there and wasn’t explained well the menu. We all had to figure out what was appetizers beacuse on the corner It stated entree. After we figured what we wanted & I had mentioned to our server that we were all going to oay individually. Not once did she mentioned we were all going to pay 20% charge I feel was overly charged for everyone to pay when it didn’t go with the service provided. If we were told that from the beginning I would just had paid all in one tab to pay the 20% service once. Server brough my daughter cake out and did not put the number’s on the cake like I had told her to do. Crab cakes were a bit over seasoned, soup trio one was too sweet, one was super salty and the other was actually good. Overall was good but prices are too over priced for the taste but if you want to find you self going on a causal date and spend alot more this would be your ideal place. Sorry to day this would be our 1st and last time here. I rather give a review & let you decide to take that chance. Don’t get me wrong food was good but not worth the money.

Once a month (sometimes more) I come to Fin for an amazing cocktail dinner. The mixologist Christine raised the bar with her creative dinner pairing one of a kind cocktails with fabulous 3 course tapas. Find her at the bar with good suggestions and an evolving menu of cocktails for all seasons. I am always welcomed by the owner Ellen with a smile. Whether you are with a group on a date or dining solo I highly recommend Fin!

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. I was greeted with a warm smile and seated immediately. I requested a corner seat, and they accommodated my request perfectly.
The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, with a lovely ambiance that makes you want to linger. The service was impeccable—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being intrusive.
The food was absolutely excellent! The wine was delicious, and the cappuccino and cheesecake were the perfect way to end the meal. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, it was worth every penny for the quality and experience.
I cannot wait to come back to this amazing spot on my next vacation. Highly recommend!

Very quaint seafood restaurant. Great for a special occasion. Was able to accommodate a party of 10 although their usual size is 2-4. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Everyone was very satisfied with their meal. There was a variety of mixed drinks available of which those that drank in our party were very satisfied with.

If you are celebrating a life milestone, FIN will elevate the event! My wife and I recently chose Fin to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary, and are delighted we did. This is our first experience at Fin, and will not be our last. After making an early 4pm reservation for the day before Valentines day, because that was all they had available, FIN called when a cancellation occurred allowing us to move our reservation from 4pm to 7pm. When we arrived they took us to our table, which had rose petals on it (of their own choice to help us celebrate) and offered a glass of champaign to celebrate and it came with a rose petal in the glass. First class. Karen was our server and took amazing care of us. The food from appetizer to main course was outstanding. If you want to celebrate an event with a meal and get first class treatment, Fin is your place.
