Well I finally got to eat at the legendary highway Harry’s.. And there’s a reason has such good reputation I just had a burger mushroom and Swiss but it was so good seasoning on the burger was great Burger had a little crossed but still done medium rare like I ordered the bun had a little toast on it.. I did garlic mashed potatoes and they were a delightful I wish I could do them like that at home! The bartender Mary was very nice, And the boss even stepped in to serve me and take care of me. Can’t wait to go back with my friends that live in the area or surprise the wife and take her here it’d be worth the 2-hour drive! Besides great food and great service the atmosphere is just really super cool !!

This place has gone extremely down hill. Went in for Sunday brunch buffet. They no longer have it. Doors opened at 10:30 and we decided to stay anyways. Very limited Sunday menu. My partner got the southern breakfast said it was horrible. I got the mushroom Swiss medium well. It was raw. I didn’t even want to complain about it I just wanted to leave. Did not eat my burger. It was the most digesting burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. Service sucked and there was only 2 other tables in there. I will never go back again. And $17 for a disgusting burger and frozen fries? I wanted soup but they didn’t even have that ready and said it would be a 30 min wait. I don’t see this place being open much longer.

We had a great dinner at Hiway Harry’s yesterday! We stopped to share some appetizers and have some drinks, and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, drinks made well, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely get the caramel apple pie next time you are there! Thanks John, Josh, and staff!

We had the worst experience for our 5:45 pm reservations on Valentine’s Day 2026. While we were seated right away, it took some time to be served water, let alone asked for our drinks. We weren’t in a rush so initially paid no mind. Our server apologized for the bar being behind. Eventually we in our order, starting with an app. When asked about the soup for the limited, one page menu for valentines, our server stated they were out. So we went with the side salads. Our app came, but our salads never did. We never were asked for a second round of drinks while we waited…1.5 hours. While we waited for entrees we asked the server for the complimentary bread. It was also out. For 5:45 pm reservations. After 30 min since placing our order, our server came back stating they were out of garlic mashed potatoes and we needed to make a diff choice. How is a restaurant out of 3 things on a simple, limited event menu, with early reservations. When our entrees finally arrived, the side potatoes were wrong, also still never receiving the salads. On top of that, we were served shrimp we we specially made mention not to include as we have a strong dislike for anything seafood. The whole experience was slow, clumsy, disorganized. We got up to leave and the hostess/owner accused us for not bringing it to her attention sooner vs owner the mistakes/poor service and attempting to make it right. She asked us to leave, so we did just that. What an uneventful date night and waste of $$ for a babysitter. I expect more from an establishment charging $50+ a plate.

Antonia in the kitchen does an amazing job!!!!!!! I ordered the classic burger today first time since new management & I definitely recommend!! The bartenders are so sweet here too. Kiley goes above and beyond with service. I even ordered a mangonada (not on menu) and she executed it very well :))

A little late in leaving this review but my husband and I had our wedding reception here October 5th 2024! It was everything I could have dreamed of and more. The food was incredible and the owner and her staff were beyond helpful. From the initial planning, to set up, to making sure the night ran smoothly – they were on it! We couldn’t be more grateful! We still come to Harry’s often for dinner and the live music and have enjoyed each visit <3

Been going here for 10+ years and used to recommend it- On a slow Saturday night, for two people to eat it took two hours. Our blooming onion appetizer was slow to get out, we still received that before we ordered. We both asked for chicken and rice soup, we received broccoli and cheese initially…Then we ordered a prime rib, to receive a ribeye- to which the waitress and the manager both noticed the error from afar and still served it and didn’t address it until we called them over to ask. Manager said to keep the ribeye as it had been served, only to have it wasted when she came back and took it. Took 20 mins after we were done eating to finally have check paid to leave. Really gone downhill.

Valentine day. Kitchen was not prepared for crowd. Special menu, but kitchen ran out of prime rib, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, and stuffed shrimp. Menu was limited to begin with. Our weight staff had too wide an area to cover. People who were seated in our area, kept getting up and leaving because they got no service. It ended up being two of us in her area, but hardly ever saw her. When we did, she was excellent. We blame the restaurant, not the weight staff. When I made a reservation a few days ahead of time, the only time that was filled was 7 PM. I then chose 7:15 PM. We waited way over an hour for our meal. Closer to two. Would have gone elsewhere, but it was already later in the evening and everywhere we checked had no reservations available. No offer of adjustment, etc. Left it up to poor waitstaff to apologize. Shame on you management.

Five star!!! Brunch today was as good as any high end Vegas buffet, And I have had almost every one of them! A lot of fantastic options. The food was extremely fresh and turned over quickly. I got an end of the turkey before the new one was brought out and it was very moist and cooked to perfection. I have high expectations for my dine out experiences as I own a bistro myself. Hi-way Harry’s exceeded ALL of my expectations. Watching the staff navigate through the busy brunch rush was like poetry in motion. Being on the other end of the service, I understand what a task it is to make all of the parts move in sequence with such harmony. Fantastic food, fantastic experience, fantastic service. Check it out, it’s amazing…. I will be coming back with freinds!!!!

We came for an early dinner. I had the 8oz Sirloin and my wife had the Chicken Alfredo. Both entrees came with a choice of soup or salad, bread, and mine came with a potato choice. I chose the Loaded Baked Potato.
Both meals were prepared perfectly and the portions were plentiful.
The prices were what you’d expect from a very nice restaurant. Our waitress, Savanna, was attentive and personable. Our food arrived quickly.
There isn’t a dress code but I’d recommend business casual or nicer for dinner. I’ve been there for lunch and the patrons were dressed casually in everything from business suits to golf attire.
If you’re looking for a quick lunch or your celebrating a special occasion, I highly recommend Hi-Way Harry’s. Located just off I-94 in Johnson’s Creek, it’s about half way between Madison and Milwaukee’s western suburbs.
