Walking around Fells Point during our 2 days visit to Baltimore we ran into this quaint restaurant located in an old historic home. The decor was beautiful and entertaining.
We also met the owner who was a very charming Moroccan lady. She told me a bit about the age of the building, and gave me a little gift from Morocco. Such a nice person!
Mohamed, the guy who served us was also a very nice person. The atmosphere was enchanting and the food delicious and well served.
We don’t live in the area but if we did we would not hesitate to go back.
Thanks you guys for making us feel so welcomed!

Definitely a good dining establishment that cares about their patrons and culinary experience. Menu choices are good. Food is delish’/yummy and presented nicely. Service is attentive. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable and welcoming. Just note: no liquor served here. It’s BYOB ( bring your own bottle).

Food was amazing! High quality food and it came out sooo quick. Coffee tasted like coffee I’ve never had before… in a really good way. Wasn’t overly crowded. Love it! Will be eating here again

I can’t recommend this place. The food aside, there were several concerns with cleanliness.

I came here with 3 other people. First, there was lipstick on a cup we got at the start.

When our food got there, my friend found a piece of black hair with lint on it in his steak and eggs.

When the staff brought out a second pitcher of water, there was a piece of something floating near the bottom, and some sort of sludge (dough maybe?) on the side. It was seriously so bad. We didn’t say anything to the staff because we just wanted to leave.

The food itself was ok, I got the Chesapeake Eggs Benedict, which had very good tasting crab meat. However, the eggs were way overcooked. Think hard boiled egg.

Two of us got the steak and eggs, which were unfortunately bland. No salt or pepper on the eggs at all, and the steak tasted like someone just put it on the grill without adding anything.

One of us got the Shakshouka which was really good. I thought the hash browns were also really good but that is about it in terms of nice things to say about this place.

I left feeling sick to my stomach, especially after we noticed the lump floating in the water.

Our bill came out to like 130 dollars including a 20% tip, which is really not a great price for such a horrible experience.

We didn’t say anything to the staff because we didn’t want to be karens but it was really bad.

Pretty bad experience, even though we had a reservation we were given a terrible table and had to wait for people who had no reservations. We ordered pancakes with Nutella and only told they were out of Nutella until our food was served, our daughter wanted pancakes with chocolate so we asked for a change with the ones with white chocolate (if they had told us when we ordered about the Nutella we would have changed it since the beginning). The pancakes came back destroyed with some chips included. My latte with almond milk tasted like only sugar or marshmallow no coffee. Our order wasn’t taken fully.
Overall bad experience.

I had such a great experience at Twist Cafe in Baltimore, and I have to especially thank Mou for making it even better. From the moment we walked in, Mou was warm, attentive, and just genuinely kind. You can tell when someone actually cares about the customers they’re serving, and that was 100% the vibe.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, but what really stood out was the service. Mou checked in at the perfect times, made thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel comfortable and welcome the whole time. It honestly made the meal feel more personal.

If you’re stopping by Twist Cafe, I definitely hope you get served by Mou. Great food is one thing, but great service is what makes you want to come back, and that’s exactly what happened here.

Food was delicious and staff was wonderful. The decor was eclectic but Mediterranean-esque but please get rid of the plastic plants. Plastic plants are tacky no matter where they appear. There are plenty of interesting and beautiful pieces in the restaurant so no need for those little eyesores.
