The early menu is decent in terms of value & options. The a la carte has plenty of authentic Thai dishes. Our group were all pleased (though the chips didn’t seem to go down well). The cocktails on offer were the usual with some house specials. The interior are lovely & staff are quick, attentive & friendly. The vibes are a bit touristy & notions.

A lively central Dublin spot with mid – high prices but generous, quality food—three courses will leave you full and satisfied.
Friendly staff offered helpful meal suggestions and efficient service.
Reserve ahead to avoid missing out on a table.

This place is fantastic. When you first walk in, it looks like a small restaurant, but it stretches far back and opens up a lot. They have a lot of options on the menu, also offering different spice levels. I had the Tom Yum Mama noodle soup, and asked them to make it very spicy (**** out of *****). Absolutely fantastic flavour, and also the pork belly and shrimps in the noodle soup were amazing.
10/10 recommend

We were visiting Dublin and had heard lovely reviews of the Asian food at SABA so decided to visit and were not disappointed!!
We had the Duck and the Chicken Yaki Soba and both dishes were very generous portions, tasty and full of flavour!
The atmosphere was the perfect balance between cosy and calm, as well as the usual hustle and bustle of the city.
Would definitely recommend!

Discovered this spot when I grabbed breakfast around the area. Absolutely delighted! Portions were generous, food full of flavour, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect little find, will definitely be back.

I celebrated my birthday at Saba yesterday and found the experience disappointing. I’m not someone who complains usually, but I really think my honest review is needed here. The service was very poor. The person who took us to our table didn’t give us a welcome or anything- rather he just said over his shoulder “can you wait a minute” when we arrived which was strange since the restaurant was empty so it’s not like he was busy. He barely gave us a chance to explain that I had a reservation booked before he started listing the specials etc. The waiters barely gave us any attention even though they walked past they didn’t look at us, and took a while to take our orders, never checked on us to make sure we’re okay or anything. In fact, I had to get up and go to the counter to get the bill as we were being ignored. The waiter also made a face when we said we were paying separately even though this is quite normal for a group of friends. I didnt like that I had to pay a mandatory service charge although the service was very poor, inattentive and not friendly . Also I had mentioned it is a birthday celebration when booking- but there was no free little treat included, which always was in many other restaurants. The food was not great too- the pad Thai was not fresh and the egg was burnt which two of my friends were dissapointed by. It’s a shame since when I was there in 2024 both the service and food was good which is why I chose this place, but I would never recommend this to others now. The quality has really gone down.

I was at Saba south William street for the first time last night. I’ve never been more disappointed in a Dublin restaurant with good reviews. It’s not that the menu was bad thai food, it’s that it was barely Thai food at all and was also terrible. It was a set valentines menu so it might be better usually, maybe it was all just batch cooked and they were overwhelmed and just wanted to take advantage and make their money regardless of Standard given the valentines occasion. To start we had Chicken wings that you would throw in an oven from Lidl & dried beef that would be fine if it was from a cheap Chinese takeaway and left out til the next morning, with some sweet chili dip just to top off the 21st birthday pub platter feel. Nothing Thai about it but that was the least of its problems. I got the crispy duck and it was just as dry, tasted the exact same as the starter and was just as chalky and dry. this was the signature dish that the server (who was very nice) recommended. My date had a crispy chicken curry and it’s exactly what you’d expect from that description. Even the cheesecake desert had no texture difference between the base, filling and topping which is almost impressively hard to do. The raspberry roulade was terrible. All in the set menu was €140 for two and then we had 2 cocktails each which were just fine so the bill came to just over 200.
Scam, taking advantage of the holiday no doubt. I would cook ten times better at home and I’m only a mediocre chef to be honest. Normally I’d just brush a bad experience like this off but for a special occasion this was disgraceful.

I recently visited Saba at William Street, Dublin 2 and had a genuinely enjoyable experience. I tried a mix of dishes — Mango Cheesecake, Hake in Banana Leaf, Crispy Chilli Chicken, Sweet and Sour with Tofu, and a beautifully done Smoked Trout. Every dish had its own personality, and the flavours were vibrant, fresh, and full of character. The Crispy Chilli Chicken was the star for me with its perfect crunch and kick, and the Smoked Trout was another pleasant surprise — delicately seasoned, fragrant, and incredibly satisfying. The Hake in Banana Leaf was beautifully fragrant – the banana leaf added a gentle, earthy aroma that made the dish feel extra special. The Mango Cheesecake at the end tied everything together with a tropical, creamy finish.
I also ordered their lemonade, which was bright, refreshing, and balanced – not overly sweet, just the right kind of zing to cut through the bold flavours of the meal.
The service was consistently warm and attentive, and the staff made the experience feel genuinely welcoming. The ambience, while simple, had a nice touch with photos depicting everyday life in Vietnam, which added a bit of charm and cultural warmth to the space.
Overall, it’s a spot I’d happily return to. Great flavours, friendly service, and a menu full of dishes worth coming back for. Perfect for anyone in the mood for bold, fresh Thai-Vietnamese comfort food.
