This restaurant is right in the heart of downtown Flushing with easy, free parking out front. We were seated right away, and the place was very clean. The service was great. Our server checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed.
The food was much better than I expected. My friend ordered the chicken fajitas, which arrived sizzling with a good balance of meat and vegetables and plenty of flavor. I had the chimichangas. They were two smaller, hand rolled fried shells filled with exceptionally well seasoned ground beef. There was a layer of queso underneath and a little sauce on top, which brought everything together. They were delicious.
The beans and rice were standard sides. Not standout items, but not bad either. The chips seemed store bought, and the salsa was fresh but mild with very little heat.
Overall, I would definitely go back. The ground beef was excellent, and I’m especially curious to try their tacos since flavorful meat is often where other places fall short. We spent about $20 each with drink.

Great staff, great food… with one major exception. They are so clean that often the restaurant smells overwhelmingly of cleaner. So much so that the chips taste like cleaner sometimes. I want to love this place, they are great but it’s happened a few times now

5 stars across the board! First time visit. I got the Nuevo Especial and Mrs got the burrito Vallarta. They made a small mistake on the burrito but they fixed it no questioned asked. Food came to the table in under 10 minutes. Excellent flavor and texture. Will definitely come back the next time we’re in Flushing!

We moved to Flushing about a year ago and we’ve been meaning to stop in and try Puerto Vallarta. Everyone went home happy. No complaints. The chips and salsa were fresh and the food was wonderful. Friendly and attentive service! We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

We eat here at least once a week. The food is great. The people are great. The place is clean. Food is always hot and fresh. They are very fast. Prices are very fair. Drinks are awesome. The service is very great. They really do care about there customers. It shows in there food and just the respect they give as soon as you walk into the door. We love this place and so does our kids and the entire family. We eat there so much that they know exactly what we want when they see us walk in the door. Restaurants like this will always succeed and continue to grow. It is a pleasure to have such a great restaurant in downtown Flushing. I absolutely love there grilled chicken hard shelled tacos. My wife loves there huge taco salad. It is massive. We will see you amigos next week. Thank you so much for the great food and service guys.

Food was delicious. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Sizzling hot. Service was great and got seated right away but we were on the early side of dinner hour. Place filled up fast!

first time going there they upcharged my alacarte items and wouldn’t honor the menu prices saying “we are getting new menus” and the woman was extremely rude about it. they ended up reducing my bill rightfully so. anyways decided to give it another chance over the weekend and order something else so we went and got two burritos and a small modelo ($9!) the burrito my friend got was literally just a shell and steak and it was $15 dollars… no flavor on anything either so bland for the price. left feeling very defeated spending money like that on something i could of made at home. not worth it. won’t be back.

My husband and I ordered food to-go from here for the first time. The food was decent, but what really upset us was the fact that there are ZERO warnings about peanuts being in the salsa. My husband is allergic (luckily not deathly) and noticed a reaction. When we called, the restaurant confirmed and we told them they should really have it on the menu somewhere. Just a heads up.

Excellent restaurant! Tip notch on all accounts! I highly recommend it! We’ll be back! We have been back several times! The restaurant is a quality Mexican restaurant! The food is amazingly flavored. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. It is always an enjoyable meal at Puerto Vallarta!

really good fresh salsa-just the right amount of spice. A great variety and so many delicious options. You can get more shells with your meal. We never even had to think about a refill before our cups were promptly filled. great variety of drinks as well.
