Food was delicious. Waitress was sweet and prompt. Food took longer than it should for breakfast items. Biscuits were amazing. Super cute setting.

We were in Lynchburg enjoying the fall colors and its history and had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast at My Dog Duke’s Diner. This is a really nice diner with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is dog friendly (no surprise ). The service was awesome, with a very friendly and attentive staff, and so was the food. We also enjoyed a caramel latte. We were told the coffee roaster is out of Richmond and the coffee was truly excellent. We had to purchase a few of their shirts as part of the proceeds go to helping feed the pets of seniors who get help from Meals on Wheels. Great food, great people support a great cause. Pretty awesome.

Our first time here and it was the best decision we made! The best service! Adam B was terrific! He made the best suggestions. The eggs Benedict, potatoes French toast and whipped cream made partly of cream cheese were awesome! I can’t recommend this place enough!

Great restaurant dog friendly with freshly made food and great service. We were passing by this area this past 4th of July weekend. We had a 2 months old blue healer dog with us. We loved that immediately when we were sit, the bought a bowl of water for the dog. We definitely recommend this place. We loved the whole experience. Thank you! ♥️

I’m a transplant from the northeast. I have always missed the food and atmosphere of a good diner from up north.
Duke’s delivers on both and elevates the food. The chicken is amazing, the grits are stone ground and creamy. Coffee is great. And the atmosphere is nostalgic.
The prices are affordable for the amount of delicous food you get.
Duke’s is a stop worth taking, again and again. Don’t miss it!

Ate breakfast here last weekend and would definitely recommend it. The only drawback was the wait but if a place is good you expect that. The food was great as well as the service. We sat outside where they had just installed heaters in the ceiling. It was very comfortable. We had chicken and waffles, the Duke sandwich, and the Lynchburg. All three were delicious. When I go back I’m going to try the skillet and avocado toast. Saw them on some surrounding tables and almost changed my order.

Not only was the food fantastic but the ode to pups is the cutest! The omelet with fresh mozzarella was massive and delicious, the home fries were perfectly seasoned, and the biscuit was tender and fluffy. The decorations and vibe were 10/10.

The reputation of this joint is accurate. We loved it! From French toast and a breakfast sandwich, to a burger and cheese steak, all the food was excellent. Our server was prompt and courteous, leaving us with no complaints. The atmosphere is clean and modern but still cozy. Even at 35-40° the enclosed outdoor space was probably doable. Highly recommended for breakfast and lunch. Bring your dog – this is the spot.

Popular, cheerful, friendly diner. Nice and bright with lots of natural light, always a plus when you’re trying to wake up. As owners of the same kind of dog that serves as a mascot, we appreciated Duke’s total commitment to the Labrador theme and merch. Had lunch the other day and enjoyed a huge portion of delicious avocado toast (avo spread rather than fresh avo, for purists out there, but still good.) Free Bird crispy chix sandwich was a winner. Loved the marinated cucumber salad as a side.
This morning it was brekkie. Busy-busy at prime time and service a leeetle slow. Barista coffee drinks quite decent for a diner (and served in diner mugs). Delicious grits; steel cut oatmeal with massive blueberries got a thumbs up from hubs. Granola w yogurt mushy (rather than crispy/chewy). Overall, enjoyed our experience, enjoyed the friendly vibe, and will be back.
