The website as well as the sign on the window says they close at 9pm on Friday. My son and I went in 8:27 and were met by a very rude young man who quickly informed us that they were finished serving. There were lots of open tables and I mentioned that we’d driven in to eat there because the website said they were open. He replied, “Well we’re closed.” If you’re going to eat there I’d highly recommend calling first. I for one won’t be back.

Great barbecue spot, the brisket was perfectly made, but the steaks looked just as good!

We came here for our anniversary, wanted a nice meal but not pay an arm and a leg for. The server may have been having a rough night. She wasn’t friendly, but not completely rude. One more question, we may have tipped that scale. The steak was tender, but flavorless we specifically asked for a well seasoned steak. We were assured they are seasoned. That was false. There’s no macaroni and cheese on the menu. What kind of BBQ joint doesn’t have Mac n cheese? Portions are on the small end of the price point. For a small town eatery it was everything we expected it to be. Warm, comfortable, inviting decor with loud down home folk who know everybody and their business.

Really really juicy ribs. If yall want a good falling off the bone ribs. These are bomb. First time here and very impressed. They give 2 sides with a full slab but that slab is really big , almost look like Dino ribs. Water isn’t tap which I love. Great atmosphere and great service. Only paid $32 for a full slab and 2 sides.

Our first time there. Waited maybe 10 mins for a party of 2. The food and service was great. Only thing was, it’s open concept and people like to talk, which was a little loud. But we looked past that and had an enjoyable time. Also, we found out you may want to get there early because they run out of pie quick. Hopefully next time we can get some pie!

This is about 30 minutes from our house. Kind of a diner but better than that. We go every couple of weeks.
I get the “Dead Chicken Sandwich” a lot, my better half likes the fish. This last time we got a burnt end dinner with pickled beets and mashed potatoes. The pics are from last week, a Reuben. Yum! And fish. I just forgot to post them.
I have yet to have anything that is not good.

I had been told they had great sandwiches. I ordered a dead chicken sandwich, fried not grilled.. waitress brought it out, looked nice, but if I wanted something fried in fish batter I would have ordered fish. It didn’t even taste like chicken. It really was a “dead” chicken sandwich. My other half ordered a tenderloin, which was fried in the same fish batter. The mashed potatoes he wanted were cold when the food was brought out. Waitress was a bit rude to add to it, and it didn’t seem like anyone working there knew how to smile.. we weren’t impressed..

Amazing food and service. All cooked fresh and homemade. The Delmonico Sandwich is the best and the cheesecake is delicious.

Wow haven’t been here in a while since they moved to their new location. Can good food even become better? sure seems like it everything seemed almost perfect. The brisket and the ribs twice as good as I remember them.I recommend don’t miss this if you’re in Sedalia. It was so good I even forgot to take pictures.

Food was great. Servers were great. Atmosphere was good. Prices are a little high for the little you get.
