Definitely recommend this sushi spot!! Their menu has an expansive list of sushi both cooked and raw options. Delicious sushi entrees and appetizers as well. Their portions were big and we had plenty of left overs afterwards. Plating and presentation was beautiful and the service (we didn’t catch her name but she seemed like the manger) was excellent. Everyone, staff, pitched in to refill our drinks, serve, and remove dirty dishes quickly – which we appreciated. Will be back to this spot next time we visit Cali!! Had a great meal here!! Everything we ordered was delicious. The mussels were a hit! And the sashimi and rolls were first rate! Thank you to Nancy, our server, for taking great care of us and thanks to Kat, the hostess for her friendliness, and for getting us a great seat at the sushi bar. The atmosphere was fun, the place was very busy, the food was delicious, and the service was top notch! Would highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to this sushi spot for years, and it never disappoints. The service is always great—staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. The food is consistently fresh and well-prepared, and the restaurant is always clean, including the restrooms. They have a large menu with a good variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, so there’s always something new to try. It’s a nice place for a date, and you can take a stroll on the beach afterward. It’s a bit pricier, but the beachside location makes it worth it.

I took my daughter here for dinner on Friday and, overall, I was a little disappointed with the experience. We were seated promptly, but it took quite a while before anyone came by to take our order. I’m not sure if they were short-staffed, but I eventually had to flag down the manager just to get someone’s attention.
The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but it was honestly just okay for the price. I’ve had much better sushi elsewhere for the same cost.
The service was the biggest letdown. The only time anyone seemed attentive was when the bill came. Having someone stand right over my shoulder as I filled out the tip felt really uncomfortable—especially since the preset tip options start at 18%.
All in all, not terrible, but definitely not the kind of experience I’d expect for what they charge. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Amazing place for sushi! There was a street fair happening outside, so we were told a 30 minute wait for our party of 9, but they got us in in 15. Menu is extensive. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the New York New York and the spicy tuna roll. Appetizers were delicious, especially the crab Rangoon, excepting the calamari that was overcooked and rubbery. The waitress was fast with drinks and even faster with the sushi rolls. The only thing that was hard was the noise volume. With our large party, we were unable to hear each other well. A smaller party will have no issues with the music and the noise.

I went here last Friday and was with a great and wonderful friend and was recommended to come here to get food… The place is so popular apparently that they have an overflow section (where we was led to go by the host who wanted to have us dine here). Sushi on Fire has an amazing atmosphere for sports, friends and family hangout, and for business endeavors… The food choices was really hard to choose since they all looked GREAT! And one of the plates I ordered was the Galaxy Roll (it really doors out to me) and overall all that I ordered was great and the waitress was well respectful, and courteous. Definitely worth coming here to dine out (no matter how long the line is) and to grab a bite of some amazing and excellent sushi rolls!
