Nice old school location for a food chain that still carries the torch for the way things were in yesteryear. Car hop service, simple menu, outdoor seating.
Not many of these types of places yet so it was a real treat to be able to stop in and have lunch on a nice day here.
Would stop in again, thank you for the good service and stroll down memory lane.

So cool! What a nostalgic experience and we had so much fun! Park anywhere – either by the restaurant or over by the picnic tables – and a server will come to you with menus! We opted to park in front of the restaurant because we wanted to get the classic experience of the tray on the window of the car. Our waitress was so friendly and helped us decide what to order as it was our first time there and we wanted to know what was most popular. After we ordered, we got out, stretched and walked around, used the bathroom and washed up to prepare for the feast! Fried cheese curds were a must and yes they were! Like little cheese stick bites. We got burgers, chicken tenders, fries, and onion rings and shared everything between three of us. Of course we all got root beer – some diet, some not. Dessert wasn’t in the cards for us this day, but we will be back for some floats next time!

O n e of the few remaining A&W restaurants in the old still of car hop delivery to your car window. You can still opt to get your root beer in a mug. (They had stopped for a while during covid). You can even buy a mug.

So happy to see an A&W. Haven’t had an A&W root beer float in 30+ years. Very nostalgic. Typical drive in, but they also have some great seating on picnic tables available. Highly recommend.

It really had been a long time since we stopped at an A&W. Curbside service was great. We opted out of the tray. We just had our windows tinted and didnt want to accidentally scratch the tint. Overall service was great, food was awesome. Just wish that there was a location closer to our lil town of North Hudson, NY

Awesome first experience! I was just passing thru town and noticed this place. Being a fan of drive-in type eateries, I had to stop and I’m glad I did!!! You park and get handed a menu, once your food is ready, roll your window down so they can attach a tray to your window. Ice cold root beer is also served in a big chilled mug!!
Cash or check only, but they have an ATM.

Classic A&W drive in dining. You get what you expect, classic burgers with fresh veg, filling hot dogs with a nice chili on top, and of course nothing beats a real A&W root beer float. Service was great! Our server was as attentive as any in asiy down restaurant

Still going strong! Enjoy the great, friendly service and fast (but better than “fast food”) food. The onion rings are amazing and of course, you must have a float! This place is worth the drive at least once a season, even from over an hour away for me!

45 min wait due to father’s day and staffing issues but what makes up for it is the atmosphere and how nostalgic

Stopped in Middlebury with my family recently and was sadly disappointed . Burgers were gray and wet. Apparently they steam the meat? Disgusting. Rings and floats were fine. Waitress was great and she was definitely doing her best. Very long wait which I wouldn’t have minded but if the burgers had been edible. Expensive for what you get.
