On Thanksgiving Eve, our party of six arrived at Elizabeth’s on 37th at approximately 5:10 p.m. The elegant old mansion, built in 1901, presented us with old world charm.

After being seated and given a menu briefing, the previous owner, Michael Terry, joined us at our table. He regaled us with captivating stories from his life, sharing his experiences and insights. He also provided detailed information about the menu, wine pairings, the origins of the wines and ingredients, and what makes them special.

Our seven-course meal was a culinary delight, with each course offering a unique and delectable experience, with the exception for me being the salad, I’m not a big fan of salads, but I must admit that it was pleasant.

One of the highlights of our meal was the assortment of small bites from the kitchen. Each of us were given a pimento cheese pastry, a muscle, and a piece of salmon. I wish I remembered the descriptions because I thoroughly enjoyed each of them and could have easily eaten them all on their own.

The lobster taco was particularly memorable for several members of our table, including myself. It was absolutely fantastic. The only dish I didn’t care for was the duck confit, which I unfortunately didn’t photograph. However, the people who ordered it loved it. The only dishes I didn’t have were the flounder and scallops, but I was told they were very enjoyable.

Our overall experience at Elizabeth’s on 37th was fantastic. Everyone was delighted with their meals. I can’t wait for my next visit. It was also a pleasure to have Michael Terry at our table; his presence truly enhanced our dining experience.

Elizabeth’s on 37th was my third fine dining experience at age um….hmmmm. My daughter wanted to treat me, and so I begrudgingly donned a sports coat and went. I enjoyed every moment. They have several dining rooms and a team approach to service. Our waiter and waitress were kind, knowledgable, fast and matched our energy. From the first small bites through the desert everything was on point. We enjoyed the entire experience. I don’t know what everything was called, but it was all good. The chowder is a must. The tenderloin was delicious, and desert was out of this world yummy!

Elizabeth’s on 37th delivers exactly what a true fine-dining experience is supposed to. Thoughtful cuisine, perfect timing, and a vibe that was both intimate and historic.

We recommend the below for course choices:
Lobster taco was out of this world with the parmesan cheese and lobster was phenomenal.
We got both soups and you can’t go wrong with either!
While the red snapper was amazing, the blackened flounder packed an insane out of flavor and was our favorite dish of the night.

We did the European wine pairing and it was spot on with every course. The dessert needs its own moment, the cheesecake was perfectly rich and the caramel pecan sauce on top added a nice crunch and extra sweetness.

Elizabeth’s on 37th isn’y trendy or theatrical, it is confident, classic, and quietly exceptional. A must go!

Work dinner, so not out of my pocket. However, for >$100 per person I’m not so sure it was worth it. There were 3 dishes that were fantastic. one of the best pieces of steak I’ve ever had, the lobster plate and the flounder. 2 that were fine. And some lettuce with two mandarine orange slices. we had a sizeable group so it took about 3 hours. if someone else is going to pay for it, might as well but if it’s your own $100+, there’s a lot of other spots in savannah. they had a caroling quartet which was delightful, hats off to them.

Please come hungry! You get your moneys worth of food. Kym was our server and he was fantastic! Truly enjoyed this old home. If you get a chance to look at the home’s book located near the check in area – it’s a good quick read about the history of the house and family.

Amazing experience, the menu was outstanding and the wine pairing was worth the experience. The owner described all of the wines and burbons we had. I would suggest this restaurant for a great experience.

Everything about this place was amazing

Service – first rate , impeccable , extremely knowledgeable

Food – everything cooked perfectly . My taste buds were very happy. We left very full

This place at a minimum should have a Michelin Mention if not a star. How it doesn’t is beyond my pay

I would not hesitate to recommend this to everyone I know

Outdated, bland, boring, and overpriced!

As travelers who seek out top dining experiences across the US, we visited this James Beard recognized restaurant with high expectations.

Unfortunately, our evening did not live up to its reputation. They must have won the James Beard Award 30 years ago because they are stuck in the past. The atmosphere was truly beautiful but cramped with a loud dining room and an uncomfortable corner booth.

The courses were small, the presentation was uninspired, and the dishes lacked innovation and flavor. For those seeking a delicous and creative experience in Savannah, we would recommend going across the street to Common Thread.

Full transparency, nothing was horrible. But at this price point, I expected alot more. The tasting menu with wine pairing costs well over $500 for two.
