So we tried to go this restaurant around christmas and it was completely packed. We left and decided to try again the other night thinking that it was going to be amazing! However, when we arrived the parking lot was almost empty, no one at the front desk to greet you and once noticed we were seated. Overall the atmosphere is nice but I can get the same if not better food at our local chinese buffet! After an $80 bill my husband and I decided it was just okay. We could have eaten twice at the buffet with way more options during one meal. ‍♀️

I just Love this place! I opened this restaurant when it was Mr. Lees! So many great memories! I love Shen the owner that worked there when I was there. He ended up buying the place Keeping the menu and great vibe, Renaming it Shens! Hard work does pay off! Always a warm welcome! Great to see Shen and Casey! I tried the Grand Marnier Crispy chicken, OMG! I was scared to go try something new, it’s absolutely delicious! It has, strawberries Pinapples, kiwis and oranges and of course sweet crispy chicken in this amazing fruity glaze, Served over white rice! Instead of my usual Pad Thai (great dish!), and 2 new sushi rolls instead of my usual Spicy salmon. The Dragon roll is fire just missing roe. And the Sunset. Very great food! Beautiful atmosphere! Go here!

This was, without exaggeration, one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had.

We made a 6:00 PM reservation three weeks in advance, yet when we arrived we were told there were no tables available. There was no apology, no explanation, and no attempt to honor the reservation. A reservation that cannot be honored is meaningless.

From start to finish, we were at the restaurant over three hours. Yes, it was Christmas Eve, and being busy is expected, but this restaurant was not prepared in the slightest, which is entirely a management failure.

After finally being seated, we waited over two hours for our food. During that time, staff repeatedly prioritized to-go orders while customers dining inside were left waiting with no updates or communication. The frustration throughout the restaurant was obvious. The table behind us, who arrived before we did, never received their food and eventually left after paying only for appetizers. One guest even said out loud that he deserved compensation for how bad the service was, and he wasn’t wrong.

Two members of our group received food that was inconsistently temperatured, with parts of their meals being cold while other parts were warm, which further highlighted the lack of coordination and quality control in the kitchen.

One of our appetizers never arrived, and no one acknowledged it or attempted to fix the issue.

Throughout the night, we also witnessed multiple customers walking up to the bar to ask for refills or drinks themselves because there was no one available to assist them. That should never be happening in a sit-down restaurant and again points to a complete lack of staffing oversight and management presence.

I want to be very clear that this was not the fault of the servers or bussers. I genuinely felt awful for them. They were working nonstop in a chaotic and unsupported environment. Our server did her best and handled herself well given the circumstances she was forced to deal with. The failure was clearly with management, not staff.

There was no one at the host stand, while over 20 people were crowded in the entry area just trying to speak to someone. No organization, no communication, and no visible leadership anywhere in the restaurant.

The most alarming part of the night was the food safety issue. I was served warm sushi. When I raised concern, the owner argued with us, stating that this was “the temperature it usually is.” That statement alone is deeply concerning. Raw sushi should never be warm.

They remade it and boxed it to-go. After leaving the restaurant and driving less than 10 minutes home, I checked the sushi with a thermometer. The temperature read between 74–77°F. That is well within the danger zone for raw fish and confirms this was not a one-time mistake but a systemic food handling issue. Serving raw fish at that temperature is unsafe.

Instead of taking accountability, management was defensive and dismissive. There was no concern for customer safety, no acknowledgment of the excessive delays, and no effort to make the situation right.

Being busy does not excuse ignoring reservations, excessive food delays, missing items, prioritizing takeout over dine-in guests, leaving the host stand unattended, customers having to seek out their own drinks, arguing with customers, or serving unsafe food.

This restaurant has a serious management problem. The staff deserves better support, and customers deserve far better treatment. Until major operational and leadership changes are made, I cannot recommend dining here and will not be returning.

The restaurant is beautiful and spacious with amazing looking decoration. I got jumbo shrimp and scallop in garlic sauce. It was so delicious and flavorful. Megan was my servers and she is so friendly and helpful. The dish came out quick and great price with the amount of food that it came with. I highly suggest this restaurant and will definitely be back!

Great food, I’ll be happy to go back. The tempura was cooked perfectly. The sushi was made beautifully, and that’s the one thing I forgot to take a picture of. The house salad was not my favorite, but it was fresh enough. I just prefer the creamy type of ginger dressing. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, and our waiter did a fantastic job.

If you struggle to open heavy doors, like me, the entrance here is a bit difficult. Though they have a nice ramp to the entrance if you’re using a wheelchair or walker.

Sushi here is very good. Very fresh. Service can be a bit sketchy. I stood in the front entry waiting to be seated for almost 10 minutes one day because there was no host. Restaurant is fairly old school and a bit run down in areas (no offense). It adds a bit if a hole in the wall vibe. Overall though, most important thing is that the food is fire. Not cheap, so prepare to spend some cash.

Can you give a no star? If you want Asian in dayton I would drive to sanfran Chinatown before eating here. I was there along with a family of 4. 6 servers from what I saw. Had to ask dishes to be cleared so I could sit at bar. 5 of 6 thought their shift was a tasting shift. Hostess had 2 long rolls before I could get a drink. My server was wonderful but her area was in the restaurant and not bar. Food was average. Place was gross. Dirty dishes everywhere and workers stuffing their faces.

This place is delicious and the service was fast on a Friday night. We were seated fast. Within one hour was done eating and I took my time eating. The inside is bright, warm, welcoming and clean. The food was on point with presentation, taste, quality and price. Our server was Samantha and she did wonderfully.

A friend and I wanted to go somewhere for NYE for an early dinner. Not many of our usual haunts were open and we decided to try this restaurant. It had been on my to try list for awhile. And boy I was not disappointed. It is now going to be added into our regular rotation. Jun was our waitress and she was engaging, helpful and fun. We ordered old fashioned’s and they were delish. They had quite an extensive bourbon list, which was a great surprise! All the food was amazing, and you couldn’t ask for better service. The atmosphere was pretty and fun. What a delightful surprise tonight!

We came for lunch today, and we were the only other table sat. Orders around 11:30am, and did not receive appetizers until 12:30pm, then food around 12:45pm, and we only received our 3 entrees, we were still missing a 4th that didn’t come out until a few minutes after 1pm. We were all here on our lunch breaks so this obviously put us in a bind. Our server was nice but we waited quite a long time to get refills, and only received one each during our visit. Food was delicious, so that is the only save with this place. We did have to get to go boxes as soon as food arrived to head back to work. The server apologized, but to wait that long for a meal with only one other table at time of ordering is not ideal. No manager came to apologize and no kind of reconciliation was offered. $143 before tip, so very pricey, and due to the overall experience I am not sure I will be back.
