Nonna Silvia’s Trattoria & Pizzeria is awesome! The food is fantastic and the service matches. We were attending the Chicago Sports Spectacular as vendors when the owner stopped by our booth. We had a great chat and he left his business card and encouraged us to give his restaurant a try. We are so happy we made the decision to stop by. It was a bit out of the way but worth the extra little drive. We will go back every time we are in the area. Food this good is hard to find!

We researched italian restaurants in the area we were visiting and we are so glad we ate at Nonna’s. Carl was a great host. Fried calamari was awesome, our dinner was delicious. We will definitely return next year! Highly recommend

We won’t be ordering from here again. I ordered a dozen baked clams. They did not taste fresh and the pan had over two thirds of a cup of the garlic butter sauce, so they came completely soggy. Called and asked for the manager. He said he would credit us, but he wasn’t going to change how he does the baked clams because he’s been doing them like that forever. The rotolo was also complete globbed with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side. Perhaps then it would have been edible.

Dining at Nonna Silvia’s in Park Ridge was a delightful experience that truly transported me to Italy. From the moment I walked in, the cozy, inviting atmosphere made me feel like part of the family. Named after Silvia Giannini, this family-owned restaurant exudes warmth and authenticity.
The meal began with a selection of fresh, seasonal ingredients that showcased the simplicity and brilliance of Italian cuisine. Each dish, whether it was a classic favorite or a seasonal special, was a testament to the care and love poured into every recipe. It felt like enjoying a meal at a cherished family gathering—comforting, familiar, and deeply satisfying.
The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the experience, making me feel welcomed and valued. Whether celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a quiet evening, Nonna Silvia’s offered a perfect blend of tradition and creativity.
In essence, dining at Nonna Silvia’s is more than just a meal; it’s a warm, heartfelt experience that embodies the spirit of Italian hospitality.

This restaurant has a lot of potential to be excellent, but I would say it is just good. There was a group of extremely loud men sitting at the bar whose speaking voice level just so happened to be yelling. They were obnoxious to be seated near. Our server tended to these men at the bar a lot, and eventually moved them to a table right near us. I felt the service was not great, as we were not checked up on frequently. We were mostly ignored. I got the pumpkin ravioli, which had way too much cinnamon in it. It would have been amazing had the cook not used so much cinnamon. My boyfriend got the other pasta which was on the specials menu. It was a vodka pasta with sausage, which was pretty good. For the dessert, we split a tiramisu. I would say it was very creamy and did not have enough of an espresso flavor that normal tiramisu has. We also split a pizza to take to-go for leftovers, and I would say that it was the best food item that we got. It was the Salsiccia & Spinaci pizza. The flavor was great. It was an expensive meal for the quality provided. I would not return to this restaurant.

Service was terrible took 20mins for the check, people around and the two older men walking around seemed friendly. Very home like feeling, the food however was terrible. I took one bite out of my grilled octopus it was terrible. If you like grilled octopus as much as I do I suggest jim n Pete’s or la scarola. The baked clams were delicious just absolutely tiny. The garlic mashed potatoes just tasted like boiled potatoes with nothing else added. My friend got seafood risotto and it was okay.

Nonna Sylvia’s is a warm and welcoming spot that feels like stepping right into an Italian grandmother’s kitchen — with a little extra polish. The pasta dishes are hearty and flavorful, especially the rigatoni vodka and chicken piccata. You can tell everything’s made with care and fresh ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the cozy atmosphere makes it great for both family dinners and date nights.
If there’s one small area for improvement, it might be the noise level on busy evenings — it can get lively fast. But honestly, that just adds to the charm most of the time. All in all, a dependable, delicious choice for anyone craving classic Italian comfort done.

Everything was top notch! After listening to the flavor profile I was looking for, our server suggested the Super Tuscan and he nailed it. Our party ordered the Bruschetta and Calamari to start with. The slices of tomato and mozzarella were perfectly proportional to the thickness and crust crunch of the bread. The calamari had the perfect breading with a sauce to match.
I ordered the lasagna for main course. It was exactly how I expect lasagna to taste and present after having been perfected through generations of feeding family and loved ones.
You can easily see the amount of pride the owners and staff take in their work.

My wife and I had our Anniversary lunch here yesterday. The food was excellant!! I had Chicken Marsalla which was not on the menu but they made it special for me. My wife had the Salmon Fillet and Grilled Octopus as an appetizer. The staff were all smiles and attentive. The owner/manager remembered it was our anniversary and brought us out some complimentary champagne at the end or our meal. It was a great end to a great lunch. We will be back very soon!!
