We celebrated my husband’s birthday tonight. For appetizers we ordered calamari and yam fries. Main dishes were; lobster ravioli, seafood hotpot, and pesto chicken fettuccine linguine. All the dishes were delicious with generous portions. Desserts were tiramisu cake and vanilla Crème brûlée. Desserts were good but not exceptional.

Great food, service and atmosphere and we scored a free parking spot!
Our daughter’s birthday family dinner at the WAG did not disappoint, table was ready and our server was terrific. We ordered a few shareable starters Feta Focaccia with Tomatoes (excellent) & Calamari great choices paired with the wine. Next the mains, Flatiron Steak, Stuffed Chicken, Cajun Steelhead and Pesto Chicken Linguine – all beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. We shared a dessert the chocolate peanut butter pie. Well done WAG we have been patrons for years and so happy that the quality of your offerings remain great and prices are affordable. Looking forward to our next time.
*Atmosphere is wonderful but the noise level can be quite loud

A great restaurant with some amazing views of the beach! The place is spacious with plenty of seating, and some big windows to view the ocean. Their food is fantastic as well, full of flavour and decent portions. I highly recommend trying out their fish tacos 🙂

I had the turkey dinner and creme Brule. It was delicious, turkey was moist and soft, full of flavor. I’m Asian so it’s been a long time since I had a traditional thanksgiving dinner. I wanted to learn how to cook a proper turkey and what better way to learn than to eat a good turkey piece at a restaurant that knows how to cook it?

WAG is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The atmosphere is best described as “modern vintage” — a unique blend of style that feels both fresh and nostalgic at the same time. There’s an abundance of natural light, and the seaside view is absolutely stunning — the kind that makes you want to linger just a little longer.
The food is delicious from start to finish. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. They truly go the extra mile to make you feel at home.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting White Rock, I absolutely recommend stopping by WAG. It’s a beautiful experience in every way.

Our visit to WAG was very nice, the first time here for us. Our cousin recommended it and we went with them and took another cousin visiting from Ontario. 6 people in total, and everyone was happy with their orders. The only minor complaint was the yam fries appetizer. They were very limp, clumped, and stuck together, but still were tasty. The decor had a theme, best described as vintage, and then changed on the covered deck. The view was nice, but there was a large parking area between the building and the actual view. The server was pleasant and attentive. She took our orders in a timely manner, and the food arrived reasonably quick and hot. It wasn’t very busy, so I can not comment on how things would be if it were busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend it, and we will be back to give it a try again.

Lovely location and atmosphere. Great view. I went with my cousin – she had the beef carpaccio and soup and I had the ahi tuna bowl. My meal was great, but my cousin got food poisoning from the beef She didn’t even make it home before having to pull over to be sick. Such a disappointment

Wanted to like this place, but the food was disappointing.

The fish tacos were a mess. Completely drenched in what tasted like bagged coleslaw and way too much mayonnaise. Sloppy, soggy, and you could barely taste the fish.

I also ordered the hoisin braised beef “short rib,” which was definitely not short rib. It seemed more like chuck, drowned in hoisin sauce. The sides were shriveled peas and dry rice. Nothing on the plate felt fresh or well thought out.

The restaurant looks kind of cool at first because it’s old, but once you sit down you notice it’s just run down. Tables were sticky, surfaces worn, and the whole place felt tired and crummy. Wouldn’t be surprised if most of the seafood is frozen, Sysco-type stuff.

The one bright spot was the server who was friendly and attentive.

Won’t be returning

We had our book club meeting here and absolutely loved this restaurant. We were a half and hour early for our reservation however they accommodated us and we were sat quickly. Our server was a smiley delight. Our meals were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend the pineapple coconut margaritas. Will definitely return.

Yesterday was my first time here. There was a mishap at the beginning; no one took our order after 20 minutes of us being seated, and I had to alert the hostess. She was apologetic, as was our server. The food and drinks were delicious, and so was the view. I will definitely be back; I just hope we won’t be ignored again this time.
