Roundown Cafe is by far the best spot we’ve found in OXB! The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and delicious in every bite. The service was outstanding; the staff made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. We sat on the second-floor deck and enjoyed a beautiful ocean view, which made the experience even more special. If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and an unbeatable atmosphere, Roundown Cafe is it!

This is a super fun place! Love the environment. Balcony seating is the way to go!! Epic!!! The coconut shrimp plate was perfect! Also really liked the poke, and tuna burger. They have some awesome cocktails as well!! Definitely the perfect place to go after a day at the beach!

Such a great spot to eat! Perfect beach vibes, koi pond in the front. Food was amazing and service is great. Very laid back and welcoming. You def need to be on beach time in the best way. You can walk to the beach from here. Incredibly dog friendly, they have an awesome patio. Live music!

Our last night in OBX was a struggle. It was a Sunday and so many places were closed early or had super long waits. We ended up driving all the way down here from Corolla.

I kinda wish we had chose elsewhere. We got chips and salsa/queso for an appetizer. The chips were stale, the salsa was clearly El Paso or some other very cheap jarred salsa, and the queso probably the same. It felt extremely lazy.

I ordered the Jerk Burger for my meal. I ended up being pretty disappointed. The burger, which I ordered medium, was well done. The jerk sauce was extremely sweet which is not something that is normal for a jerk sauce and it ended up not being good at all.

Luckily my wife didn’t finish her California burger and it ended up being cooked closer to what she ordered and was a lot better than mine.

If you’re looking for good quality food, not sure I could recommend this place.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the town of Duck, home of Duck Donuts. Not sure what to expect, but we enjoyed the entrees offered. Although the menu is somewhat limited to the selections, all of our dishes were well prepared and presented.

The interior was decorated with a island theme. There are two main seating areas, ground level and an upper level. Like other popular establishments in Outer Banks area, it can get crowded during peak lunch and dinner hours. You may want to visit outside the normal peak hours.

Great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent but somehow our order got mixed in with the lunch crowd that came just as we sat down. We still enjoyed!

This place is so delicious . I don’t take the time to write reviews often, but everything my family ordered was freshly made, hot, and tasty. *THE BEST MARGARITA * ever in my life with fresh squeezed lime and perfectly balanced! I enjoyed my jerk burger, my daughter loved her grilled chicken sandwich, my son devoured his fried flounder, hush puppies, and fries, my husband enjoyed his fried shrimp plate. My son and husband enjoyed their appetizer of buffalo chicken wings. My daughter absolutely raved about her molten lava cake. We actually drove to two other restaurants first that were packed with wait times before making our way to Rundown Cafe. I’m so glad we got to try it out. If you are ever in the area, this is an absolute MUST!

The food took over 45 minutes to get to us. When it finally did arrive (including the appetizer) it was cold to the touch. My son’s chicken wings were raw. The service was poor. The bill ended up being 171 with tip. We will not return.

Editing this after your response. I never spoke to anyone about the issues we had. We just paid our bill and left pretty quickly. The wings were never removed from our bill.

This is our go-to spot when we arrive. It’s been three years since the changeover of ownership yet the food is always on point. The tacos are all delicious but the shrimp are my favorite. The calamari and fish bites always hit the spot, and their poke bowls are just right. Don’t forget to check their specials! We love the pond out front and whenever there is a wait to get in, we just go upstairs for a drink on the deck.

This place was great. When we got here we were seated inside but it was cold and we asked and they moved us outside with no problem. Lucas waited on us and was great, giving us the low down on his favorite foods and the best places to buy craft beer nearby. The beer list here is small, and the untappd ratings aren’t amazing, however what I had was absolutely fine and I’m good and happy. The food was good. My kid loved the noodles, my mahi sandwich was great, and my wife loved the scallops, and the green beans and potatoes were super good. Yeah definitely come here.
