It’s been a really long time since I have been to RB and decided to reconnect. I wasn’t disappointed. They serve elevated bar food. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and think it’s one of the best around. The chicken is panko crusted and was cooked perfectly, hot, juicy and tasted like a buffalo chicken should. It wasn’t very spicy but the flavor was good. They had a great bun that was perfect for the sandwich. The homemade ranch was good and not too heavy. We also had the parmesan chicken which was equally as good with a nice red sauce. However, the Alfredo pasta was way too salty and garlicky. We had the fried pickles as appetizer and was pleased to know they serve half orders of appetizers. The service was really good, no complaints and the place was clean. I dock them a star for pricing as it’s a bit aggressive.

The food is great…overpriced yes, but still tasty. The service on the other hand is incredibly bad for such a nice establishment. It’s “restaurant week” and we literally had to ask for the restaurant week menu, to which she brought only 1 menu for the entire table. How is that possible?? Then the overall attitude of the server remained inattentive and not interested. Such a shame.

I ordered my food to-go on the website. I asked for a steak and there was a selection to say “no mushrooms” which I selected. When I arrived back at my office and opened it up, my steak is covered in mushrooms.

In the Columbus area for annual doctors appointments. We had eaten here the last time we were in town and remembered how good it was, and close to where we were staying, so we went back.
Got here before the evening rush and we’re seated without a wait. Our server was very friendly and attentive.
The menu has many different selections, from salads, sandwiches or steak dinners.
We each chose the Reuben sandwich which was a meal in itself with fries. Everything was very good and the price with beers was very affordable.
Good job guys and gals!
Will be back again I’m sure

I never miss stopping at the Rusty Bucket when I’m in the Columbus area. Thanks to Padraig for taking excellent care of me! The Stroganoff was delicious as is everything I’ve ever tried on the menu.

I came this great Rusty Bucket several times. It is usually packed during dinner time. It has a lot of room with great decorations, a great bar, and a lovely patio. Service could be faster. WiFi is fast.
There are always various and classic items in the menu. Happy hours and special offers are offered. I really like their classic burger with juicy patties, decent sauce, and fresh vegetables. Pizzas are also delicious and freshly baked. Soups are tasty but salads are mediocre. The medium temp salmon entree tastes amazing with lovely sweet sauce. Nacho and chips are mediocre.

we made reservations online as suggested. the food was initially, great. it came out of the kitchen fast. nice presentation as well. we ordered french onion soup, sliders with fries, side salad and wings. unfortunately our waitress couldn’t be bothered to bring us refills. once another person, maybe manager? said i’ll grab those for you. and we didn’t get them from him either. but i think the most “yuck” factor of our dining experience was this. when we exchanged pleasantries with our waitress upon seating, she said she was really tired because they just had a rush. This was about 4 o’clock. The entire time that we dined they were cleaning off said tables of “the rush.” We even talked about this about how many people they had back there cleaning off those tables. I watched a waitress take a mustard bottle and she was cleaning the top of it. There must’ve been gunk on the outside of the lid. She then dunked it in to a half drunk glass of water that another patron hadn’t finished! When that didn’t work, she took a napkin and dunked it into the same half drunk, already slurped, used water and scrubbed the mustard bottle with that. Then she closed mustard bottle up and it was ready for everyone else’s use. I stopped eating at that point as I had used ketchup on my french fries and wasn’t sure if it suffered the same cleaning experience! passssssssss!

The nicest staff in town! We have rotated among several restaurants in recent years for book club meetings but we keep coming back to the Rusty for the good service, varied menu…and taco salad night on Tuesdays! Calling it a salad is kind of a disservice…it’s like a giant tostada with sour cream coated iceberg shredded on top of it…nature’s perfect food. The rest of the menu is great, too – but you really can’t beat taco salad Tuesday!

I ordered the double stacked quesadillas as the gluten free option. They must have been prepared ahead of time from the other meals at my table, because the meal was cold and the cheese was getting hard by the time I ate it. The restaurant was so busy, the server was not around that much, and I didn’t want to hassle anyone because it probably would’ve just been microwaved. But the food contents were great! All staff members were friendly!

I recently dined at Rusty Bucket Restaurant & Tavern and found the experience to be a well-balanced blend of comfort food and attentive service.
We began with the chicken wings, which were executed well—crispy exterior, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being overly heavy. For our entrée’s first course, we tried the sliders. While enjoyable, they leaned more toward familiar than exceptional, earning a respectable 7/10 for flavor and overall presentation.
The standout dish of the evening was the Mac n’ Cheese topped with breadcrumbs. Rich, creamy, and texturally elevated by the crisp breadcrumb topping, it delivered the kind of nostalgic warmth and depth that comfort food should.
Service throughout the meal was notably strong: attentive, timely, and friendly without being intrusive.
Overall, Rusty Bucket offers a dependable casual dining experience with several highlights, approachable flavors, and solid hospitality. It’s a fitting choice for a relaxed meal with a few memorable bites.
