Going to Rino’s for the first time with no expectations more than exceded my wildest dream. Of all days we went for lunch, my family and I went on Valentine’s Day. Rino opens at 3pm. If you got there any later than 2:45 you will not get a seat in their quaint 9 – 4 seat and 3 – 2 seat tables dining room. You would have to put your name on the waiting list. My family of 3 got there at 2:45 and was the 5th group to be seated. Once seated we were given a menu speciality menu and wine list to look through. We were served our water and bread. I love my bread toasted but these were not. But they were still good nonetheless. We ordered the calamari and arancini which came in no time. Calamari was perfect and was not over breaded. Arancini was tasteful. We ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti, chicken Marsala with penne and a sausage with broccoli rabe in fettuccini in oil and vinegar sauce. Mind you these are individual size entrees. What we got was like a family portion for each. Then we started eating and we were in heaven eating like gods. Wait staff were amazing and very friendly. They don’t take reservations for less than 6 so be ready to wait if you don’t get there before they open up. I would love to go there again as soon as possible for another serving of heaven!!!

We arrived about 5:30 pm on a Tuesday. Very small restaurant with about 12 tables. Cash only and an ATM is available behind the counter. No reservations are accepted unless you have a party of 6 or more. We waited outside for just under 10 minutes. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I paid extra for the homemade pasta with my chicken. It was totally worth it. I have never tasted anything like it. My daughter ordered the gnocchi and it was incredible as well. Both dishes were fresh, hot and incredibly delicious!! Ohh….something quirky about this establishment is the only bathroom available is in the kitchen:)

The plates here are huge, soo yummy! Be ready to wait because it’s always packed on the weekends. The food is delicious and the servers are great. Second time there and I loved it.

I love this place. The restaurant is small, but the servings are large. Everyone I’ve taken here has loved it also. Street parking only.

Saw this on Triple D 15 years ago. I thought…. If I ever get to Boston…
Well we went today. Everything I heard back then is still true. The food is beyond amazing. The portions are beyond LARGE. Our take away box is twice what a typical restaurant serves as a main course.
Pro Tip! Order half sizes so you can try more dishes! Get there early! Yes 4:00 dinner is best or you will have a wait. There are only 12 tables inside.

My dad and stepmom love this place. For me, this food is a bit heavy and everyone who sits down is obligated to buy a massive entree. I had the cannelloni. It was good but probably could have fed the whole table. I tried to eat the rest over the next couple of days — that’s all I ate — and I couldn’t finish it, and I am a big boy. Definitely fast before you go. We go early in the day but the place fills up fast.

Great authentic Italian restaurant in East Boston! The prices are very reasonable and the service amazing. Go hungry!!! Because anything you order would be so good!! Rino’s is cash only and they do not take reservations so be ready to wait, but it’s worth it. The portions are enormous. This time I got the frutti Di mare in home made fettuccine. You can not go wrong with any thing you try, and they also have Italian white and red wines! So highly recommended!!!
Went back two nights ago, just adding more pics!!

They have delicious homemade fettuccine. Portion sizes are generous and we all ended up with half of our dinner left in to-go boxes. Street parking can be tough to find, they don’t take reservations, and the wait outside was about an hour for dinner. They’re also cash only.

Totally worth the wait! We put our name down on the list around 6:30 Saturday night and got in at 7:30 on the dot. The staff is amazing, and the food is so authentic! Beware portions are huge so you will be taking leftover home, great value for the prices. This place may be better than any of the north end spots!
