I got the pollo tropical which is chicken cheese and pineapple. Served with rice. Very good and portion was appropriate. We also got the cerro fries which had steak and toppings. Also good. Service was good and the theming is really cool!

Me and my party of four went to this restaurant for dinner at around 7pm, and we did not enjoy the experience. The service was very slow, taking a good while to bring the food. When we did get the food, it was not great. The portion sizes were a little smaller than expected, which isn’t too big of an issue, but the vegetarian fajitas were way overcooked and kind of gross. Two of us ordered fries but they never arrived, though the charge was taken off of my bill, which was nice. Our server was nice. The atmosphere was nice, though I don’t like the windows that connect two tables through a wall, which led to another group glaring at us. There is also an incline when you come in that, if you’re not expecting it, will trip you.

Me and my boyfriend ate here tonight with two other friends. Service was very slow and our waitress only checked on us maybe once or twice. My boyfriend ordered the veggie fajitas and our friends ordered cheese quesadillas and chicken tacos along with two sides of fries. When our food was dropped off we immediately noticed the poor portion size. Not to mention my boyfriend never got the wraps for his fajitas or the beans and rice that come with it. The vegetables were also overcooked and very soggy. Our friends never got either of their fries. So we wait 45 minutes for our food when the restaurant was not busy and never received all of it. The waitress never came back for us to tell her that we were missing items. For the price it’s just not worth it, the food is almost less than mediocre. Our friends got their drinks taken off their bill but we got nothing taken off even though we did not receive all of our food. We will not be coming back here.

15 minutes at least before anyone acknowledged us in an almost empty, seemingly fully staffed restaurant. Nobody hostess stand yet a sign asking to wait to be seated. We should have at that time. Food came out quickly but was incorrect and took us searching out server to explain the issue. Not helpful at all and we finally asked for the bill. They offered to remake but at that time, at least an hour into it, we were ready to go. Paid the entire bill even though we did not get what we ordered. Did not care for what food we did received. Won’t be going back. Not a smile to be had by the staff the entire time beginning to end. Do not recommend.

This place was amazing. The decorations and the themes made you feel like you were in Mexico. The restaurant was very clean. The menu had a great selection for lunch and dinner. They got a 3 on service because we waited a while for someone to come get our drink order. The food was amazing and full of flavor. If you want a change, bring a party and enjoy.

So this is the first restaurant I have given low stars for service. When we came in, it was right before dinner (4pm), and we were seated towards the back, which was fine, but it took 15 mins before our waitress took our drink order. I gave grace too, but my drink I ordered from the bar and my husband’s tea was never refilled or asked to be refilled. The waitress checked on everyone but us, and we constantly waited for her to get other customers’ orders right, and she never bothered to check on us once except for the bill. The manager came out when they got busier and ignored us as well. I usually love New Bern restaurants, but I was highly disappointed in the service. The food was ok since my fajita steak was burnt and inedible. I’m sorry, but this establishment will never get my money again. I’m highly disappointed in staff, service, and food.

I feel bad for the poor server ladies, cooks did not make all we wanted and the portions were not great. I enjoyed the chicken tacos but it was less than stellar because we had to wait quite awhile and I only got 2 and no fries. I would not recommend to anyone in the local area.

Nicely decorated but the staff acts like they don’t want to be there or bothered. The cooks burn the food or just put what they want to put up there. Some of them act like they don’t even speak English if you have a complaint. Definitely not as good as they were in the previous location. They didn’t even have any high chairs so hopefully if you have children, they don’t need one. Spent the whole dinner holding a 6 month while trying to eat from a sizzling platter.
