Went for a friend’s birthday party dinner and found new friends and happiness. Probably the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant anywhere in the World. Mediterranean food has always scared me and now I want to try more. Want to try their other branch on Alberta with my kids. Thanks for a great and tasty evening.

Everything we ordered was delicious. I failed to take photos of the food we ordered but everything was cooked perfectly! The baklava was great! We tried their arab coffee too for dinner We will definitely come visit again when we come back to Portland.

The grilled fish was really good my wife and I both loved the way they spiced it. I got the mixed meat dish and the lamb was exceptional, I also really liked the lentil soup we got as an appetizer it was very tasty. We came he on a whim after going BlackFriday shopping and we’re very pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service. Very easy 5 stars and will come here again next time we are in Portland.

The food here was amazing! My wife is Turkish and she loved every bite. She was especially excited that they have Künefe. The atmosphere is really neat with a TV showing interesting cultural and historical information about Iraq. The service was great. The waiter even spoke Turkish. We will definitely come here again.

We came for lunch service. The staff and atmosphere are five stars! Maybe we ordered in an off day since this restaurant has such great reviews. The falafel was delicious, but the salad it sat on needed something, like lemon, or herbs or spices or all of the above. The hummus was good, as was the pita bread. Overall, this wasn’t the flavor bomb we are used to with Iraqi food, but it was still good. Again, service was excellent and we may have just ordered the less flavorful items.

️Exceptionally fine dining in a welcoming and casual environment! For anyone wishing to enjoy Iraqi cuisine, this family has been offering it to Portland for so long that they have perfected their menu & thankfully expanded to multiple locations. The downtown DarSalam Lazurdi is the newest and does everything right! Imported specialties (arak, pilsner, wine) and ancient traditions (the coffee pour!) are additional delights on top of the fundamentals done so well: hummus, babaghanoush, kabobs, shredded lamb over basmati and so many more! Every inch is intended to contribute to the playfully lush ambiance. The high ceiling allows for 25+ foot murals depicting historical imagery, and a video screen provides a silent education for those interested (family friendly in tone & spirit). The gorgeous blue and gold everywhere (especially the wall of evil eye charms) makes one feel like royalty. A MUST visit!
