Our waitress Gina was fantastic as well. Couldn’t be happier!
We arrived for our reservation and we could barely hear ourselves think. There was a giant table full of lawless humans and their children that were incredibly loud and running around. It seemed as though the restaurant didn’t care. We almost decided to leave, but again, even Frosty the snowman is by a fireplace.
We ordered our drinks and appetizers. The pretzel covered cheese curds and b sprouts. The curdswere lacking flavor and the sprouts were just a swamp of a soggy mess.
Next, clam chowder. More like tasteless goop with a sliver of what is supposed to be a clam?
Okay, entree time. By this time the table of uncontrollable heathens had left. Phew, we can talk a bit. Still very loud though.
Kids Mac and cheese was the best meal presented to us. Sadly true.
The Caesar salad was a disgrace. It’s as if they threw wet lettuce on a plate and forgot to put flavor in their dressing. Must have bought their Parmesan cheese from a back alley somewhere.
Nashville hot chicken. It was meh at best. Not hot in any fashion, coleslaw was dripping everywhere and lacked any resemblance of substance. Fries were good.
Lastly, our server was great. We didn’t bother her with this information as none of this is on her.
Short version: Very loud, food stinks. Mac n cheese is good. Waitress is nice.
The Nashville hot chicken was really good and yes it is spicy. The Blueberry Basil Salad was ok. We also had the Brussel Sprout appetizer which was quite tasty.
Not too crowded on a Sunday night.
Paula’s original review accurately reflects our experience. Her intention was not to disparage Bibinger’s, but to inform future diners of a policy that was never communicated to us prior to or during our reservation.
We fully understand that Friday evenings are busy and that table turnover is important. At the time we were asked to leave, there were multiple empty tables in the dining room, no visible line, and no guests waiting at the door. If we had seen diners waiting, we would have gladly wrapped up much earlier.
I have waited for reservations at busy restaurants many times, but I have never experienced a manager asking seated guests to leave, especially when the restaurant was not visibly full. That interaction was unexpected and uncomfortable, and it overshadowed what had otherwise been a very enjoyable meal.
While my dining experience itself – great food and service – would have warranted a higher rating, I am leaving a one-star review specifically due to the tone and content of the restaurant’s public response to Paula’s review, which I found dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. How a business engages with feedback is just as important as the experience it provides in the moment.
