Thank you for making our belated valentines meal the perfect experience.
The chicken and waffles were absolutely delicious, and the steak and eggs were very good. The grits were just okay, but the mimosa flight was refreshing and fun. The **biscuits with two different jams were an awesome starter so delicious!
And the sweet potato pancake was truly to die for.
My mother-in-love felt like a queen celebrating her birthday. Thank you, Tupelo Honey team, for such a warm and memorable dining.
The restaurant is beautiful inside with plenty of seating and a full bar.
Everything eat or drank was well crafted. Their “honey dust” flavor was infused into many of the menu items. I had the honey spicy fried chicken. It was juicy and had been marinated for 16 hours.
I also had a Bloody Mary that could have been its own meal!
Highly recommend the experience and making reservations before you visit.
The location is downtown Knoxville and offers lots to do before or after a meal.
Highly recommend giving this place a try!
We were able to make a reservation within minutes and once we arrived, were able to be seated within minutes. It was beautiful, all the black and yellow waiting for food and enjoying conversations.
Our waitress Emma was so sweet and ensured that we had everything we needed! I ordered the steak, eggs, crispy potatoes, but I wanted the grits also and she helped me make a great decision in ordering them also. My husband had the Chicken and Waffles and the sauce that came with it was amazing! Everything was great and when we return for another game, we are definitely visiting again!
We ordered a sampling of the appetizers which were served to us at the same time. The lack of attention to detail first revealed itself in the ice cold and rock hard butter served with our biscuits. Our second round of sweet tea was not sweet. The fried pickles were mostly batter, the chips with pimento cheese was similar to what you would receive at a sporting event.
We found everything notwithstanding the biscuits to be basic and uninspired. And, after serving our food we didn’t see our server again until it was time for the check.
Overall; a lot of room for improvement.
The food…just not good. I had the famous chicken tenders. The chicken inside was good but the breading was so overcooked and dry, with very little flavor. The fries were lukewarm and the green beans were watery and mushy. We also had shrimp and grits. The grits were good but the shrimp was flavorless. Maybe we ordered wrong, but those seem like their staple dishes.
The service – also not good. Our server never checked on us. We had to flag him down for drink refills, to order dessert, to get the bill. Just not great.
