Taco Trio is the best mexican food in Portland. It’s hard to find good Mexican food on the east coast in general. Plus, the staff is so friendly, nice, and gives great recommendations. It’s really refreshing. Sooo so so glad my friend introduced me to Taco Trio. 🙂

A great little taco joint. Delicious food for a decent price (great price during happy hour) served quickly with bar full of salsas to choose from. Its a tiny dining room packed full of character. Outdoor seating is available in the summer. Staff is phenomenal. If you’re a drinker, try the spicy margaritas!

The food is great and came out fast, Cheers to the team on the kitchen! The new place very big, welcoming. Walls and tables are well organized, the food is half self service, you have to go get your utensils, water and sauces, which is nice. There wasn’t much contact with customers from the servers, which I felt kind of cold but I guess is all about preferences, the bar area is big and overall is a great place if you try to get a taste of Mexican food.

An authentic slice of Mexico in Maine! I was thoroughly impressed by how great this taqueria is. Their tacos and enchiladas were a true highlight, as was the incredible salsa bar with a fresh variety of pineapple, mango, habanero, and fresca salsas. There were also a great variety of vegetarian options that offered squash, fried cojita, beans, avocado as filling alternatives. We also tried the strawberry tres leches which had a nice flavor, but was a little more dense than others I’ve tried. Would definitely recommend the haddock tacos!! I’d come back just for those. They also have a full bar and a beautiful indoor and outdoor seating space.

Y’all…. This is the best taco place hands down. I moved here from Houston and the only thing i miss from that dump is their tacos. This place? AMAZING. I absolutely love their chicken taco trio and their array of spicy authentic sauces. Come here and have their tacos!!! I can only wish they had a place in Portland!!!

Very tasty tacos! The Vegetarian ones are great. And the Mole taco was delicious. Our son loved the chicken quesadillas and our daughter her burrito. The guacamole was good. They offer a very nice salsa buffet Overall great flavors!

The food was amazing! Love the help yourself salsa and condiment bar. It is counter service so you have to be in the mood for that. I suggest getting the Cadillac Margarita if you like to taste a little tequila as the others are in a tall glass so lots of mix. Everyone in the place so friendly.
