The shredded chicken is juicy and flavorful. Love both of their mild and hot salsa they bring to the table. Prices are reasonable. Can’t wait to eat here again!

This was a good stop for us as we were traveling through. We were seated promptly outside and the view on the back porch is beautiful and peaceful. The patio makes the experience. Our server was cool and firnedly. The restaurant is clean and lively. They have a lenten menu if that helps anyone for Fridays during lent. They have complimentary chips and salsa that are very delicious. I ordered the fish tostadas, which honestly wasn’t very good. No seasoning and the fish wasn’t hot. My buddy ordered the fish tacos and said he enjoyed them very much, and they were seasoned and cooked well. The portions were big and that’s what we wanted.

El Nopal is a good spot, especcially if you experience the patio. They have clean restrooms and the staff is friendly. Stopping here really helped us out while traveling.

Thank you

They were slammed but took amazing care of us, not an empty table in site but you couldn’t tell. Fast service & amazing food. Didn’t have to be ignored for anyone. They did such a killer job we tipped the bill. Best 150$ I’ve spent in a while.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at El Nopal – Corydon, IN

We’ve been loyal customers of El Nopal for over 25 years, visiting our previous location at least twice a week. The service and food have always been excellent, and any small issue was handled quickly and professionally. Unfortunately, our recent visit to the Corydon location was the complete opposite of what we’ve come to expect.

We were seated quickly, but it took about 10 minutes before anyone came by to greet us or take our drink order. Interestingly, that person wasn’t even our server but someone temporarily helping out from another El Nopal location that recently closed due to a fire.

After our drinks arrived, we ordered our meals. Then we waited—and waited. Tables around us received their food, finished eating, and were reseated with new customers who also received their food promptly. Meanwhile, we still hadn’t been served. Diners nearby even commented that they had waited an hour and a half for their food as well.

When our meals finally came, mine arrived first, but my companion’s took another 10–15 minutes. To make matters worse, the utensils we were given had visible food particles stuck to them. When I finally located a hostess (since our server was nowhere to be found), she brought us clean utensils—but my companion’s were also dirty and had to be replaced again.

By the time we finished, we were extremely disappointed. At checkout, I asked to speak with a manager to share our concerns, but the person I spoke to claimed to be the manager and said he couldn’t understand my English.

After years of being devoted customers, this was a truly disheartening experience. We hope management at this location takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the quality of service and cleanliness so that it matches the high standards we’ve always known and loved from El Nopal.

The serving sizes are exceptionally big. Even one dish would have been more than enough for me and my husband. Good quantity for the price. Chicken was juicy and nice with flavours. I liked their rice too. Salsa is amazing. Service is also nice.
The only thing I did not like was the fried ice cream because it was not what a fried ice cream should be. Just a waste of money. Other than that everything was okay.

Best Mexican food ever… truly. My fiancée is a traveling nurse and we’re currently in Reno, NV. We are hard pressed to find any Mexican restaurant even remotely as good as el nopal. Luckily we’re back home visiting family and had a chance to eat here again. It’s just amazing.

We miss our old stomping ground. However, this is a decent restaurant and it has the same dishes as are former favorite place.

Absolutely horrible service. We got seated very quickly. But took well over 10 min before we got someone to acknowledge us. Only because I went back up and said something to the lady up front. And finally got someone to come over. Got our food fairly quick and correct (only good thing to come from the visit). My son’s rice was bland and had no flavor. My chicken was the same. In the middle of my meal my server took my drink I thought to refill it but never came back with it. When he came back he just asked If we wanted boxes. I get we came in 1 hour before close but he was rushing us out. When I paid told them I had horrible service and he just laughed and didn’t care. I will NEVER return not that they care though.
