During my first visit to California Fish Grill, I encountered a minor hiccup when I had to park two blocks away due to roadwork. However, we arrived 20 minutes before closing and were greeted by friendly staff. I was somewhat uncertain about the quality of the food, but Jennifer, the cashier, was very attentive and helped us navigate the ordering process. She even used the screen to show us the different side orders, which was a clever touch. The food itself was delicious, with the dynamite sauce and garlic butter being notable highlights. Jennifer provided excellent service, and I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. I would highly recommend California Fish Grill to anyone who enjoys fish and is looking for a great dining experience.

The food actually tastes great when cooked properly. The problem is that the fish is usually overcooked with very black grill marks (which is carcinogenic) and the fish is very dry. The cooks need to stop overcooking the fish and clean the grills more often. I usually have to cut off all the black grill marks on the fish. The black grill marks are way darker than the photos shown on their menu. The only time my fish was cooked properly at this location was when I told one of the workers not to overcook the fish. I’ve been going to CA fish grill for many years in different cities, and I’ve noticed that the portions are getting smaller. Today I received the thinnest slice of salmon I have ever seen. You can see how thin it is on the photo. Very disappointed.

Very healthy and very affordable. I must say the food tasted good but it wasn’t something out of the world but really happy with the portion sizes and the prices. The staff was super friendly. I ordered a salmon with rice(brown rice) and then you can choose one side, I chose sweet potato fries and I also added asparagus for a little extra I believe $3 something. I recommend this place.

California Fish Grill in North East of Sacramento. I stopped at this place. I just read some reviews because I was looking for some fish and chips, took the advice from lots of reviews so I came here. I was very impressed by the customer service. You walk in and you immediately get greeted by their employees with a smile. You don’t see greeting you with a smile, that’s a plus right there. I thought it was kind of weird at first, then I seen it happen with another another employee who greeted another customer the same way with a smile. That’s that’s customer service right there’s nothing to expect back in return from the employees just a nice smile. Employee helped me place my order by using the little kiosk it’s all manual using a monitor screen, you get to read what you want with good discrimination. I took my time to order since it was my first time experience eating at this place. The order was amazing and zuri I believe that was his name is so let’s call him “Z” z was super nice spoke with me making sure I was happy with my food. I had the fish and chips It was the delicious. Absolutely satisfied plenty food tasted delicious great customer service super clean place can’t say anything better than this place Great choice good place

The food was delicious! I got the Atlantic Salmon, my sides being white rice and asparagus.The service was polite and welcoming. Wait time wasn’t awful whatsoever, took 11 minutes for the food. Overall, and good experience, I would recommend and will be coming back! P.S there are a good selection of fountain drinks!

First time trying out California fish grill, heard a lots of good thing about this place. Excellent customer service and clean environment, sea bass was delicious and so as the side. Honestly I would really like to give 5 stars but the salmon I got was more dry than a chicken breast. Would definitely come back here again for another try but so far it’s a 4.5 for me

This place is off the hook, so much so I went two days in a row. Great place for people that don’t eat red meat. Great place for people that do. There is plenty on the menu for people doing the keto diet. The people here are super nice and very helpful. The bathroom is clean and so is the restaurant. The high tables are comfortable. I love the curry dish so good. The shrimp skewers are not to be missed. There is a sauce bar, I like the creamy one. They also have an Italian soda machine. I didn’t try it because I don’t eat sugar, but I have been told it is good and that is why some go back. Try the root-beer, yum. Your search is over, time to fill your belly at the Fish Grill!
