The highlight of our 3-day trip in the city. The exxxxxquisite food, the cosy vibe, the super friendly staff, and even the warm ray of sunshine for some aesthetic pics…!!
A place that has become a seafood reference for us and the only reason why we would return to Glasgow…;-)
Thank you Crabshakk for this dreamy moment. Definitely worth every penny.

Wife took me for impromptu lunch on a Saturday. Couldn’t get a table (place is very small), but had stools at a bar table.
Best scallops I’ve ever tasted, and the turbot was amazing. Wife had butternut squash gratin, which was delicious.
Very quirky fizz, which was cloudy, but excellent.
Dessert cheese was disappointing, very sweet biscuits which overpowered the cheese.
Parking that though, would definitely go back.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, atmosphere was good (but very little space), and there are loads more dishes I want to try.
This place is fish-lovers’ heaven!

I liked the atmosphere a lot. There were several single people who enjoyed their food, which is a good sign. I happened to see my friend I made in a conference and she said she always came here when she visited Glasgow for the same conference.

I booked a 9 pm table and last orders would be taken just after half past, making the experience feel rushed.
The restaurant is somewhat cramped, and while the staff were polite, service felt impersonal and hurried.
The constant shuffle of servers squeezing between chairs gives the entire experience a rushed, uncomfortable feel. It’s the kind of atmosphere that works in a casual bar, not in a restaurant charging top-tier prices.
The scallops (three for £17) were genuinely excellent: buttery, sweet, cooked to perfection. Unfortunately that’s where the excellence stops. However, the half lobster (which was tiny for £33) was average and served without proper utensils, making it difficult to enjoy. Portions overall were small given the premium pricing, and a top-screwed bottle of red wine at £35 felt poor value. Although there’s no service charge, the optional 10% tip comes across pressured/mandatory. Attractive setting, but ultimately disappointing portions vs value, and atmosphere. Total came to around £200 for 2 and left hungry

We came on a Saturday lunchtime and had a fantastic time. We booked with a baby and the staff went beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well placed. The venue is stunning given the overall small footprint, and there was a lovely vibe the whole time we were there. The menu was well explained and there was so much choice, we only wish we were local so could come back for more. There was a great wine selection as well. Really loved our meal here and felt like great value

I visited Crabshakk recently, surprising my husband with lunch, 7 years after our first date there. The food was incredible, just as good as we remembered. The staff made it feel even more special for us and we both agreed not to leave it so long next time!

We recently visited CrabShakk after hearing great things. We were not disappointed. The staff were so lovely and accommodated us even though we didn’t have a booking. The ambience is lovely, there is a really nice feel to the place and the interior is stunning. Our server was Ruairidh and he could not be nicer. He was extremely friendly and very helpful – he explained the menu to us and also gave recommendations when we were spoiled for choice. He’s a real credit to the place. The food was incredible – everything tasted fresh and very delicious. It was served as soon as it was ready which we liked. We especially enjoyed the mussels and the crab linguine – the flavours were amazing. We chose 5 things to share between us and we were really full – the food is a lot more filling than it perhaps looks. One of the other staff kindly explained to us how to eat the oysters as we’d never tried them before – she too was lovely. We loved every second of our visit and would highly recommend it. It’s different to other places we’ve eaten in and it’s got a great ambience and feel. For the food quality, it was very reasonably priced. We can’t wait to come back again – it truly is a seafood lovers paradise!

Food is really good, but portions on the smaller side, and depending which table you get, it can either feel cute and cosy, or just plain cramped.
Ordered 6 oysters, 2 mains (one which came wiyh mash and veg), and 2 potato side dishes for 2 people, which were all excellent, but not that substantial, even at 3 full courses I think I would’ve still been snacking when I got home.

Tight space. Plates would hardly fit the table. Pasta was ok. Lobster were bit tiny and felt that it lacked flavour. Bread and dip were really good tho. We also ordered some mussels – they were ok. My friends and I prefer the mussel soup much creamier. Friendly staff otherwise.

This is one of the best places for fresh seafood in all of Glasgow! Just an incredible selection of fish and preparations to suit any preference. The wine selection was amazing, too! Will most certainly be back on our next visit to Scotland!
