Social Profile:

THE ORIGINAL KABOBERY® Dubbed The Original Kabobery®, Massis Kabob has been around since the 1970’s and has a devoted following. Massis Kabob specializes in Mid-Eastern cuisine served in a quick-serve format. Our concept is simple: give customers what they want and do it at affordable prices so they keep coming back. Back in 1976, when the first Massis Kabob opened in Glendale, serving dinner-sized plates with high quality meats and sides was a fairly new concept in fast-food, something we are proud to say we have perfected after forty years of service. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to bring our customers the Massis experience.

Founded in 1976, this counter-serve eatery specializes in Middle Eastern kebabs & pita wraps.

I ordered the Persian Koubideh Beef. The taste was good, and the portion size was very good for the price. It is a good deal for $14.95 + tax. I will be a repeat customer if I ever see a Massis Kabob again. Only issue is this is a mall location, so it can be hard to find a table to sit at, and it is a loud environment. Other than that, I have no complaints and will recommend this place for anyone looking to eat Kabobs.

I’ve had Mediterranean food plenty of times before, so I know what good quality and good portions look like. This place in the Glendale mall? If I could give it 0 stars, I would.

In the photo you can see my original receipt and the refund receipt. I placed my order and ended up waiting about 45 minutes while hearing several order numbers pass mine. By the time I finally got my food, the mall was already closing.

I looked at my plate and said, “Number 13 shows 7 pieces of meat, but I only see 4.” The lady helping me—who seemed like the manager—told me, “Oh, it’s because we sell it in ounces.” I didn’t want to make a big deal, I was hungry and had my kids with me, but I told her, “Well, I bought it because of the portion shown on the menu picture.” All I got was a quick “sorry.”

So I asked for a refund so I could go eat somewhere else. She said, “Sure, $18 has been refunded.” When I checked the receipt, it showed only $3 returned. At that point I had three of my kids running around, so I had to leave.

For me, it wasn’t even about the money—it was about the moral responsibility to refund the full amount, and the fact that what they gave me looked more like a kids’ meal compared to what was advertised. I won’t recommend or return to this place. In fact, if someone asks me where to eat in the mall, I’ll say, “Not there.”

I didn’t even get the lemonade because by the time my order number was called, there wasn’t any left.

Haven’t ate here in a while. The food was absolutely terrible. Meat was burnt and dry. Grill tomato and pepper were burnt to a crisp. Pita bread was bland. Horrible experience. For what they charge here you think you would get something better. You’re better off going to McDonald’s honestly.

Fear exceeded all my expectations. Absolutely delicious. Don’t let the fact it’s in a mall discourage you. Huge portions of fresh tasty food. I will be back.

The pricing is tricky… You first order a meal number… Which cost $15 and then they ask you if you want soda if you want the hummus dip… As if none of those were included in the meal. So the final price was $28. And the person who was serving the food seemed annoyed for whatever reason and not friendly.

This is the second time that I get my food not so good! Last month I order the fish fillet with frys and fish was raw!
This time I got the beef koubideh and the side salad was spoiled, can’t go back to complain cause I drive to this place like 20 minutes, so when I got home I noticed the cucumber salad was bad! Not cool not cool!

Great tasting Persian food! They make the meat fresh right in front of you, and it took only 10 minutes to get our food. It is well priced too — 2 mains, 3 sides, and 2 drinks came out to $50. Service was friendly, and it was super busy on a Wednesday afternoon.

Had a chicken with salad. (#10). Good meat flavor and abundant fresh veggies. Not much to say. I loved the way kitchen grill displays open for the public to see. Months later came back and had a beef koubideh wrap. Very very good. Fresh cooked meat.

When Massis opened on Colorado Blvd, it was really good. But last 3 times I’ve ordered it has been terrible. The ground beef kabobs have absolutely no flavor. The rice was very dry and in lumps. I don’t think I’ll be ordering again.

This is my first time in this location- Glendale Galleria food courts. The Lady in the register was very nice and patient- she was smiling, looking at me while talking, giving me information clearly and calmly. Service was fast, accurate order received. The food is always the bomb at Massis Kabob!!!!
