Good old fashioned diner. Open at 6 am. Great menu choices. Had the steak and eggs and biscuits and gravy. Good food, decent prices. Wait staff is very friendly as are the “regulars”.

If you like carbs, this is the place to go for breakfast. I personally am trying NOT to eat carbs and Id prefer gluten free or healthier foods and I didnt find many options. I ended up getting an omelette which was decent. Service was good and prices are great though!

On 1/31 we stopped in for breakfast. There are several signs as you walk in that clearly state “welcome, please seat yourself” so we grabbed a table that had freed up. A waitress came over and scolded us saying there was a list and that we needed to go check in. We left. It’s fine to have a unique process, but don’t cop an attitude when we were following the clearly posted directions.

I enjoyed the food well enough. It’s pretty solid diner fare. I had the crab cakes Benedict along with some corned beef hash which was all good. The prices were crazy low so that was nice. The waitress was incredible attentive to helping me and even took some peoples’ order in spanish which is cool. The manager did come out to shush the table next to me for, I guess, laughing too loud so that was weird. They were all Hispanic so it felt a little racist. Maybe they are just sensitive about noise from anyone even though I was sitting next to the “loud” table and it didn’t bother me at all.

This place was amazing. We were a little weary at first but the food was great and the staff was amazing! Our server was Jenny and she was the sweetest. The service was speedy but very great. I’ll definitely have to return next time I’m in Madison.

I am WELL WAS a regular. I eat here weekly.This was my favorite spot until today. They are under new management And The service and attitudes were horrible From the New Owner and the cashier they were both Very RUDE and I was treated horribly and talked to sarcastically I asked for sauce that comes with my steak breakfast and this is what he gave me(the picture below) when I called to report my horrible service to management (They Owner) she said I know him he wouldn’t do such a thing like that and said she saw him poor enough sauce I disagreed. She then hung up the phone in my face. Note she was NOT right there when I got my service or sauce She was interacting with another customer at the other end of the Counter . I gave A 5 star for the food because the food is always great. Even though I didn’t eat it today because I was disgusted by the treatment and service I received.The cook is great she does an awesome job but the service was horrible and I will never go here again.

A great local breakfast and lunch cafe that elevates “greasy spoon” dining to its highest art form. Staff is friendly and gets to know their regulars. Even when they are busy they are super efficient, so there is rarely a wait beyond a couple of minutes.
