Food was very okay , Briyani got too much chicken and less rice. Flavor is okay with little to no spice. This is one of the few restaurants near the stay , better do a take out as door dash price up . Little pricey . Not much crowd during weekdays with bigger space. Chicken pakora is not worth a try .

The night we visited, the poor chap was managing the entire front of the house—taking orders, waiting tables, and settling payments. A regular customer mentioned that the usual wait is about 30 minutes, but it was 45 minutes that night. People remained patient and chatted among themselves.
The food was tasty, but not hot—neither spicy hot nor served at a hot temperature. Still, it’s not the end of the world. I’d like to try their cuisine at its best.
By the way, unlike some other Indian restaurants I’ve been to, these guys cook all the chicken in the tandoori oven first before adding it to the curry—a proper way to cook! So, that’s a plus.
If you’re after some curry in Canmore, whether meat or vegetarian dishes, give them a go. Their food tastes better than their current rating suggests.

Nice to have a different cuisine option outside of typical North American/pub style food that is plentiful in the area!
Food was pretty solid and prices were decent given the area. The spice level here is not as intense as other Indian restaurants so I would go for a medium personally next time if I wanted mild (but maybe just personal taste). Biryani seemed like the best deal as it was quite large portion, good for sharing between 2 and ordering an appetizer to share if trying to lower costs 🙂

I took takeout the other day and as a person who has eaten a lot of of Indian food, I was super excited about the naan bread to accompany it. We ordered five for our family of two adults and one child and figured we’d have left leftovers but every naan was missing huge chucks and had holes as well as being paper thin. I was really disappointed and feel a bit ripped off.

Visited Spice Hut and had a great time. The biryani was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The butter chicken was creamy and delicious, and the prawns and tikka boti were fresh and well-grilled. The service was friendly and quick. Overall a wonderful dining experience!

Came out to Spice Hut as I won 3 gift cards from them on Facebook (thank you very much)
Absolutely great restaurant and super delicious food.
Only bad thing I’d say was I sat there for like 10mins before I was even asked if I wanted a menu lol – all good tho
Will definitely be back out (came from Calgary)

Normal food, large portions, however, biriani was warm to cold. reasonable prices. They have to work for services alot. One waitress is not enough. When we enter, we had to wait long time to be seated. Also many tables were not cleaned.
