Decided to give Jaliscos a try for lunch today. We were pleasantly surprised to find a lunch menu. Service was friendly and efficient. Our food arrived to us in a timely manner. Yummy.

The food is so good here. Lots of cheese. Beware every dish contains garlic (my aunts has an allergy and the only thing on thd entire menu that’s garlic free was a plain cheese quesadilla). Service was a bit slow, they took 20 mins before we got our drinks ( inc water)…they took all 11 orders before asking shat drinks were wanted. Drinks should be brought out first. Big groups are welcome here. There’s a bathroom and some quarter machines for kids. There is a kids menu with activities on it and crayons. They serve chips, salsa and bean dip before your meal…very tasty.

I don’t pretend to be an expert in Mexican cuisine, but this was an enjoyable place. The food felt far north of the typical expectation for a location that is so far north. Expansive menu with all your favorites and a few unique creations. Even a packed house on a Saturday evening had prompt courteous service and a responsive kitchen. Portions were generous but not ridiculous. Split an entree if you’re not overly hungry. Will return.

I have eaten at this location several times. They never can seem to greet and attend to the guests faster than 20 minutes even when they aren’t busy. My experience today is we waited 20 minutes before getting greeted by the server and were able to order food and drinks. Food is OK but much better options for service and food quality. They have another restaurant on Broadway that is 1000% better.

I don’t know how this place has 4.5 stars. Maybe I just went there on a bad day? My bf took me to Jalisco’s for a night out. I was excited to have some genuine Mexican food. We were seated pretty fast, but other than that I have nothing good to say. The waitress was absolutely not friendly and irritated by everything we asked her. If she had to go out of her way, she did it with an attitude. I even asked my BF if maybe we might have upset her, and we could not figure out what we did to get this type of service we got. Both of us ordered plates that were about $20 and then we got a sample of margaritas. At first we were torn on what type of drink we wanted and when we asked our waitress, she was immediately irritate. She just said “about $20”. Ok…sounds great. I was about 5 bites into my meal, and my waitress came by, swooped up my plate and left. When I asked her what happened to my food, she just said “I threw it away”. I was sooooo confused. But with the attitude she gave us, I just wanted to leave and go home. So yeah, that was my experience with this restaurant. Bought food. Had a grumpy waitress who picked up my plate and threw it in the trash. Good times. I will never ever go to this place again. To the waitress….if you don’t like your job, don’t make others suffer while you take it out on them.

If you love Mexican food, you gotta try this place! Food tastes good and fresh. My favorite items are the burritos. This time I ordered the macho burrito and it was very delicious. Their rice and beans are also very good. I would say stay away from the seafood items. It did not taste super fresh. ALSO, GET A LEMONADE. The peach lemonade is one of the best tasting lemonades that I have ever had. Made fresh too!

EDIT: You need to know what to order. The tacos are immaculate. So definitely get the taco platter. It’s big enough for 2 people.
If you order to go they also include free chips and salsa.
OLD REVIEW: A little above average. They brought free chips and salsa while we waited for our food. We got fajitas and enchiladas. It was a lot of food for two people for a fair price (I think it was $38 after tax also including drinks). The taste is fine. There are a few flies around. Service was great. There are also a lot of parking spots.
I do have to say that there were a bunch of Mexican customers, which makes me think that the food is authentic.

I could die for their chipotle sauce! I don’t care what it’s on, it’s delicious! It just adds a little spice and a hint of smoke but the it changes the entire profile of a dish! The black beans are good not great but their refried beans are perfect. The rice is amazing mixed with the excess chipotle sauce. I seriously can not get enough. Hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area.
