What a wonderful coffee shop to bless the Grand Strand!! Vacationers and locals alike, don’t miss out on the amazing quality and service of Beach Hippie. Everyone is SO beyond kind and the food & drinks are SPECTACULAR! While here with friends, I got one of their menu listed bagel sandwiches and a latte flight – YEAH, a latte flight! What an amazing addition to a cafe’s menu! You even get to decorate your flight with your name and all you’re wanting. You can even get a combination of matcha AND a traditional espresso based latte. Cold or hot, milk preference, etc. – SO amazing!! Speaking directly with the owner was great, too! You can’t be a stranger at Beach Hippie and it is spectacular.

Probably the best experience I’ve had at a coffee shop. Ordered the coffee flight which was delicious. The owner offered me an ice brew on the house (actually 2) and it was perfect. The food was hot and delicious. The atmosphere was quaint. And prices were decent. Then the owner walked us over to his gift shop that sold a bunch of cool stuff. The over all experience was wonderful, these owners take pride in their coffee and their customer service. Definitely worth going back.

I’d say this is a gem for Myrtle Beach. I love the vibes. The artwork on the walls to the string lights above and the personality of the staff who are nice.
I ordered a cappuccino that was good. I don’t expect anything super-fancy. I’m spoiled by having some well awarded and prestigious roasters in the Raleigh-Durham area where I live (Black and White (have world barista champions), Counter Culture Coffee, Little waves, and Joe Van Gogh). So my five stars are for what this place brings to Myrtle Beach – which I’m sure is quality for the area and a nice attitude.
Oh, and to note – they roast their own beans and have done a nice job!

This place can get busy, but OMG the coffee is worth any wait. We each had a coffee flight. You can choose any 4 items and you can chose if you want them hot or cold. We loved the coffee so much we actually also left with coffee beans and a cup of coffee. I can’t wait to get coffee on our way out of town to go back home.
The owner is extremely nice and you should check out the retail shop on the corner. A bunch of unique items.

Amazing cafe!! The owner, employees, and customers are all so friendly. This is a must visit if you’re just visiting Myrtle Beach for a short weekend.

Beach hippie coffee is hands-down the best. Always very friendly, the most delicious coffee (that puts Starbucks to shame) and the tastiest deserts/ breakfast foods. If you have an allergy they do a fantastic job at making sure you can eat safely. Overall 10/10 if you are visiting in the area it is a MUST!

From the second you walk in the door it’s like walking into an old friends house. The vibes are on point, the employees are happy ( rarity these days) and who I assume is the owner, is hand down one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met. So glad we found this place. The Tiramisu dossant… the tiramisu cold brew… I think it changed my taste buds forever. 100/10.

We just happened to stumble across this store while in Myrtle Beach, and I’m so glad we did! It was such a nice treat to get the flight- all the coffees I tried were delightful but the Dream Brûlée was my favorite! There is a process to get the flight (you have to write what you want plus add symbols) but the staff explained the process very patiently. Tbh the bagel wasn’t the best but I think you come here for the coffee, not the bagels. On our way out we met who I think was the owner and he was so friendly! I actually came back the day we left to get some coffee to go. The cup holders were so cute and the coffee was just as amazing as when I had it the first time. Thanks for a great experience, Beach Hippie!

We found this groovy shop not far from the beach. The vibe is so happy and fun as soon as you walk in the door. We were promptly greeted with a smile and shown where the menus were. The menu was filled on both sides with lists of different coffees, other drinks and food. I am dairy and gluten free so I was happy to see these and vegan options as well. The coffee and food were so good we have been 3 times this week! The owner is super sweet and has an attention to detail.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I searched for a local coffee shop during our Thanksgiving vacation and chose Beach Hippie. Mark was very friendly, super knowledgable, and chatted us up about the menu. We both got Iced Coffee. He got the Filthy Animal and I got the Banana Boat Foster Latte.
Let me tell you…Those are the absolute best iced coffees we had!!! My Banana Boat was creamy and my boyfriend LOVED his Filthy Animal! He said it tasted almost like a Reese’s Cup and he’s a chocolate and peanut butter lover. Next time we come back, I’ll have to get the banana cold foam cream on top.
The very next day, we brought my parents here for breakfast and Mark and staff were superstars! My mom loved her hot chocolate and cinnamon bun. Dad liked his sandwich, but his bacon was slightly undercooked. He removed it from his sandwich and Mark noticed. He asked my dad how he liked his bacon, took it, and returned with some crispy strips. Anyone who treats my parents well get an automatic 10-stars in my book! ❤️❤️❤️
Back to the awesome coffee. My boyfriend got the Wunderbar and I had a coffee flight. Not a marg or beer flight. A coffee flight! ☕️ ✈️ On my iced coffee flight, I chose the Honey Lavender Blossom, Wunderbar, Dream Brulee, and the Fairy Dust Matcha. I absolutely LOVED the fact that I could draw on the flight holder! I wished I could use all of the colors, but some of the markers dried out.
The Coffee Flight: The Honey Lavender Blossom is definitely a floral bomb, but I liked it because I could ACTUALLY taste the lavender (S-Bucks, take notes and get better ). The Fairy Dust Matcha was pretty good, but I should have mixed it up more to get the strawberry taste at the same time.
For the Dream Brulee, I see why it’s the #1 Fan Fav. But for me and my boyfriend? The Wunderbar took the #1 spot in our hearts! The Wunderbar had the perfect mixture of creamy, slightly sweet, chocolate, and more! For us, the Wunderbar had the best depth overall. It’s been two weeks since we’ve had Beach Hippie Coffee, we STILL talk about it, and wished there was a BHC in Columbia so we can have more. LOL! Or move closer to Myrtle Beach.
After our breakfast, Mark walked with us to Groovy Goods and I was pleasantly surprised! There were cool clothes, t-shirts, soaps, BHC bagged coffee, patches, enamel pins, stickers, and more! Not your typical beach wear. It’s a cozy, cute shop and Lori and another lovely shop assistant (apologies for not getting your name!) talked with me, my boyfriend, and my parents.
Lori went through some flavors of bagged coffee and is super knowledgeable about coffee, too! She and Mark made me smile about how much at length they went on about their coffee. They truly care about it and I can’t wait to come back to Myrtle Beach and try more! Plus, my parents have friends that are coffee drinkers, and they’ll highly recommend BHC the next time they come back!
