This evening, at 6:30 pm while finishing Christmas shopping, we chose your restaurant to have dinner. We understood the drive thru would be busy and were patient. Once to the speaker, we ordered a wrap combo and a son of baconator combo, during which there were 2 different voices that took our order. They did confirm before we pulled around.
Once we got to the window, we were told $13.31, much lower than it should have cost. I asked what the order was for, he replied only the baconator, the wrap combo was missed. I told him that we did need the other combo as this was for my wife and me. He said let me add a second order, and said he’d have me pull up to wait while we were getting ready to pay. He closed the window and began adding the second order. Suddenly we heard a female voice in the background speak up saying “no we can’t do that, there’s other orders in line they’ll have to go around”. He opened the window back up and relayed that we would have to get back in line and go around again. We waited 15-20 min in line to get to this point, and felt this was not acceptable. After being told this, I told the gentleman that it was not right that we must go back around again because of their error. He reclosed the window and relayed my statement, and at this point the female voice (apparently a supervisor) starts yelling “I don’t care, our fault or not, that’s a separate order and they have to go around or not get anything”. She was also berating Aedrick (Cashier), who had tried to do the right thing for us in the first place and was a true pro.
There was no reason for her to start yelling at her employee or us loud enough that we could hear her through their closed drive thru window. (Employee coaching should always be done one-on-one behind closed doors, that’s management 101). And yelling at a customer is completely unacceptable, and unprofessional. On top of this situation, we discovered that whoever took the order ALSO upsized the baconator order (that I did not request) and charged us extra.
In the end, we did not get the second meal, nor were we able to get a second meal for my wife as other stores were now closed. As I said, this treatment of customers, or employees was terrible any day, but especially Christmas Eve. Whether we will be back or not is unknown, but as long as this store continues these business practices, I can assure you that others may shy away too.
Unacceptable.
Further, only about a third of crew seem to know how to work and how to interact with customers.
Definitely referring this store and management failure to the DM. If franchise, they need to be penalized for brand violations. If corporate, other avenues exist for better performance and compliance with standards.
2-75% of the tables were dirty not wiped off
3-The woman bathroom door handle was broken. Had to have someone come and open it. Women were waiting thinking someone was using it
