I had an alright lunch at Sconni’s for a business lunch. We sat on the patio outside, and maybe because of that our service was fairly slow on a pretty empty afternoon. The aesthetic is a sport – outdoors – Northwoods vibe, which isn’t horrible but seems a little forced when what’s offered is pretty standard “gastropub” fair. The front area has a huge selection of pool tables, games, dart boards, and a stage, so I’m not sure when they use that but it was empty when we were there. The classic burger was fine and the Sconni melt was pretty ok, with a small side of fries, but I don’t necessarily feel a draw to come back here, especially with the price. $15 for a melt on what tasted like store bought bread and a small pile of fries is a little much for me.

We are from the LaCrosse area and we are here in town this weekend. We picked Sconni’s Alehouse & Eatery for dinner. It was the best choice we could have possible made. The food was amazing, are server was great. She mentioned she was covering a shift, and she worked here for about 11 years. This would be a top pick, if we were to visit again. Thank you for the great food and service..

Sconni’s is a very large bar/restaurant that has an amazing atmosphere. Fish fry was moist and flavorful. Everything was delicious! We stopped for lunch and it wasn’t very busy at the time. Server could have been more attentive but was friendly nonetheless. We will definitely stop back.

We were please with our visit to Sconni’s. Great variety on the tap and food menu. The giant pretzel was soft, the beer cheese plentiful and the bowl of cheese curds huge! We found the herb seasoning on the curds little heavy and tired of it after a while. Our server brought a side of blackberry puree as asked which went well with the curds.
The roasted beet spinach salad was excellent.
Our server was attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was attractive and the sound quality was calm and pleasant even when somewhat busy. The music was at a great volume allowing table conversations without strain.
We highly recommend Sconni’s

Excellent dining experience. Greeted immediately, sat promptly and greeted by our waitress in reasonable time (even with a live band and busy atmosphere thanks to Valentine’s Day). Typical starter of cheese curds, great texture and batter. Nice flavor. The meal was the star. I enjoyed a classic burger, well-done, with fries. It was tasty, not dry, and had a great char-broiled flavor and the fries were perfectly crispy. My husband had the Elk burger, medium done, with truffle fries and said it’s the best burger he’s ever had. I highly recommend this spot for a quality appetizer and/or meal. Our waitress (Rose) was attentive and friendly, but not “overly-present” (which I truly appreciated). Overall very happy to spend my time and money here.
A year later and food, service and atmosphere is still top notch. I love the truffle fries! Great fish fry.

GET THE ELK BURGER! Possibly my favorite spot in Wausau, they offer a somewhat upscale menu and specials while keeping fair prices, food is great. Servers and staff are very nice and it feels like they want you to be there and help you. Can’t wait to go back again (for the 10th time )

Underrated gem of a restaurant! We were just passing through town and I’m so glad we stopped here by random chance. The food was top-notch and our waitress was extremely kind. Get the house mac and cheese or Cajun shrimp pasta, you won’t regret it!

Went here for a family get together/fish fry. Appreciated the private room. Service and food were great! Our waitress was attentive. We had 13 people ranging from toddler to age 70. There was something for everyone. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

We were driving through and saw this place to eat. Not overly impressed. The decor was pretty.
I ordered the basil pesto pasta. It is not my cup of tea. After the first bite, I knew I did not like it. Only ate a few more bites. There wasn’t anything else on the menu I wanted to try.
My husband ordered the house mac and cheese and he enjoyed it.
The waiter was attentive but a poor attitude/burned out maybe. Not a lot of friendliness coming off that one.

Tried the Truffle fries (which are extremely good ), Elk Burger and did my version of Chicken & Goat Cheese flatbread pizza. Both were moist and very flavorful. Loved every bite of it! Highly recommended for those not afraid to try a bit of something new.
They do have some classic Wisconsin dishes, so if you’re from out of town, or even state, I would recommend that you give them a visit , as their decor is extremely Wisconsin like and gives you a good feel of how Wisconsin is. Very fair prices for a fantastic taste!
