The moment we walked in we could see how empty the place was, it was from there we knew this place was going to be a disaster.
Been to other five guys and was very disappointed with this branch.
Staff had no respect, overcooked the patty and had hair out above the grill and looked depressed.
Didn’t bother melting cheese on patty, put the cheese straight onto the burger and straight onto bun, patties not even smashed?
When we asked for cheese to be left on for at least a few seconds, a backup dancer staff member came from the storage room, started shouting at us in a disrespectful manner treating us like idiots.
Overall disgusted, the bun and chips were off brand, knock off cheap ones, definitely not from the five guys supply.
I’ve been a burger lover since a very young age and always enjoy trying new burger spots. After seeing all the hype around Five Guys, I decided to finally give it a try and visited the Richmond branch with my girlfriend.
First thing I noticed was that the place was relatively empty, especially compared to the other restaurants and food places nearby – which already felt a bit odd given the reputation.
Unfortunately, the experience didn’t improve from there. The service was slow, the burgers were mediocre at best, and definitely not what I’d call gourmet. The chips were served in small cups, overflowing and messy, which didn’t feel very hygienic or appealing.
For the price they charge, I expected something special, but the burger was honestly one of the worst I’ve had, especially considering the cost. Overall, it was really not worth the money, and I wouldn’t go back.
Special thanks to Vasilis, who served us. He was friendly, attentive, and very professional, which really made our visit even better. Excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere overall.
Will definitely be coming back — highly recommend!
The free peanuts add more benefit.
Five Guys in Richmond is close to the bridge/river, and Richmond Bus Station.
The seatings are on the ground floor, and first floor.
Nicer view if you sit on the first floor, near the window.
Toilet for customers is available on the second floor.
Here’s what I liked:
• The fries (when immediately fresh)
• The grilled cheese
• Polite service
• The burgers (according to a meat eater with me)
What I didn’t like:
• PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE
• Very cold location – draughty
• Seating not great nor comfortable
• £4.30 for a soft drink from a machine!!
Be careful if you have a peanut allergy. I don’t and think it’s a nice touch to have available.
Do I recommend going? YES if you’re hungry
Will I go again? PROBABLY but a different one
Was it good value? NO
Price point: $$
The food tastes great especially the fries, do try the milkshake, you will not regret it.
