There are some restaurants that simply serve food, and there are others that create a feeling. Tonight’s dinner was the second kind.

From the moment I walked in, the restaurant felt warm, intimate, and beautifully designed. Soft lighting, natural wood, and the open kitchen create an atmosphere that feels both elegant and welcoming — the kind of place where you want to sit a little longer and enjoy the evening.

The house-made bread arrived first. Crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and glistening with butter and olive oil. Each bite felt simple, honest, and deeply comforting — the kind of bread that reminds you how powerful good ingredients and careful baking can be.

Then came the pasta.

The restaurant makes their pasta fresh in-house, and you can taste the difference immediately. The texture is firm and perfectly chewy, almost playful, as if the noodles are dancing in your mouth. The sauce appears simple, but that simplicity hides a quiet depth of flavor that keeps you reaching for another forkful. Eating it felt like sitting down for a family dinner while your grandmother prepares something fresh in the kitchen just for you.

I also ordered the green salad, though I’ll admit the name didn’t sound very exciting at first. But the dish turned out to be full of surprises. The flavors were layered, vibrant, and refreshing — a beautiful balance that makes every bite interesting. I won’t explain it all here; some things are better discovered for yourself.

As for the price, considering the elegant atmosphere, thoughtful cooking, and attentive service, it feels completely fair. In fact, it feels like a small luxury that’s well worth experiencing.

Some dinners fill your stomach.

Others stay in your memory.

This one does both.

Came here for our anniversary dinner and had a great time. Service was great and helpful. Cocktails are unique and very good. My steak was perfect and recommend the buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer. Some dishes are unique so recommend asking your server questions if unsure.

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to celebrate our anniversary here. Making a reservation online was easy. Our server Lewis was so friendly and attentive. And the food! Every single element was delicious. We love Kindred Fare and will definitely be back!

Stopped by on a whim for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but we were offered a table on the patio right away. The food was great, lots of dishes on the menu with a gluten free option. Their drinks were really good! We had the gf fried calamari and it was super crispy, along with the fried chicken, and one of their daily specials. Good service, very attentive, and we received our meals in a timely manner.

We have never been here before and decided to try it out. My wife is gluten free and loved having many options including a chicken cutlet and Mac and cheese that was delicious. I had a rice bowl with so many flavors. We tried out the honey hot cauliflower wings which were great. This place really has a lot to offer anyone that is gluten free. This is a place we will visit any time we are in town. They did everything right here and it’s such a great atmosphere.

Just splendid! I had my birthday dinner with my partner here on a Monday night. We had a reservation for two and got in easy with no wait. We went with the Chef’s Menu which was strawberry themed this week. Everything was amazing! We also had the poutine as a starter.

The salads are an absolute must here. My partner and I both agree it was the best out of all the dishes we had. I also had to get the cherry Sunna Wellness Elixir since I was so impressed with them from the previous Wellness Elixir pairing dinner I attended here. Our server, Emily, was also very kind and attentive. Thanks for making my birthday great!

Great atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious food! Justin was a great server and walked us through the menu with great recommendations. The house-made bread and gluten free crackers were amazing, followed by the steak and pan seared salmon. They make an awesome old fashioned with house made bitters too with a taste of cinnamon. Overall great spot for dinner or a special occasion.
