Visited here at the weekend for a friend’s birthday and it was good just not excellent. Poor choice of quality drinks including limited zero percent beers and no craft ales.

Service was good but again nothing really stood out as being excellent.

Extra points for the atmosphere, great choice of music.

Amazing restaurant with fantastic food and a great experience thanks to the team. Came here as we were passing through and will definitely be back. Very quirky venue I can honestly say I’ve never been anywhere like it. We were seated in front of where the trays are plated up and everything was exquisite! Party of 7 – Cocktails, beer & food (3 individual pit trays, 2 steaks, burger, salad & extra sides) came to £200 plus service charge which was great value for the quality of food. Kasha took great care of us!

Brilliant food and atmosphere. Can’t recommend this place enought. Just over £60 for 2 off us with drinks and I did order the biggest burger I think

Having been recommended to come here by a number of friends.

Decided to swing by tonight when we were in the area heading back into Yorkshire.

Arrived to a busy buzzing restaurant and I can only describe the atmosphere as *I’m on holiday in America*

We sat in front of the bbq section and watched platters plated up.

We ordered the pitmaster for two.

We noticed the food that were being plated up was sat under a heat lamp whilst waiting for another component to be ready part of the platter …Because of this the food sat there and the platter that came to us arrived lukewarm, as it was sat there a while… The external was warm… But by the bone of the rib was lukewarm.

The flavour itself is very very good!!!
Belly pork had fat, flavour, and fell apart.
Beef brisket, when we saw it being plated up… It looked dry but be assured it was moist and flavoursome.
Bbq ribs soft and very tasty.
Highlight was the pulled pork!!!
Sausage… Not to my liking sorry, it’s not a British banger nor is it a Frankfurt… I can only describe this a an American bbq sausage?
Fries… Not your average fries! Crispy and the seasoning on it is tasty… They were also very well drained of oil!
As for the bbq sauce and beans… Yum!!!

After the meal …I believe the manager came to speak to us and regarding the temperature…I assured him that the feedback regarding the temperature of the food is not a complain, he appreciated the feedback and we had a good chat about food!!

Highly recommend and I’m sure next time we go this review will turn into 5*

Ughhh. I really wanted to love this place. We even tried it twice but it just isn’t very good :(.

First time we came for the wings because we thought they looked really good on the promos…unfortunately after we have realised that it was AI and the wings were similar to those you’d get at Wetherspoons and not all that tasty.

Second time we thought right let’s do what they do best. We turned up 10 mins early and were told to grab a drink at the bar…20 mins passed and everyone else was being seated at the host stand so I went and asked and they’d just forgot we were there!

We tried the pit master tray for £70 and were severely underwhelmed. The food came out far too fast….now you might be asking why I wouldn’t be happy with that – it’s because it was all clearly sat under hot lamps and drying out for ages waiting for an order to come through. I’m talking 5 mins after ordering it all arrived. Chicken thighs were tasteless, the ribs we completely left by us because they tasted reheated which was awful – it takes a lot to not even bother eating it.

Sides were also poor – forgot the slaw completely and the bbq beans were literally just baked beans. I’d have let someone know if they came to ask but they didn’t.

We did enjoy the pork belly and the brisket was okay if not a little dry. But we tried to enjoy it.

After we finished we were then left to it…for around 40 mins? No drinks, no desserts, nothing. Eventually I walked up to the front desk to pay.

Such a shame because the venue looks cool but in all honesty save your money and just go to hickory’s.

Food was amazing – brisket that just fell apart, delicious saucy burnt ends…the venue is really cool and unique too! Only problem was that I wanted to try everything on the menu! Tried the cherry bomb cocktail and it was so good, dangerous for a cocktail though as it was just very tasty. Finally, they do Grandpa Greene’s local ice cream which is a great dessert option!

If you haven’t been in a while, it’s time to head back. It’s truly a must-visit spot for any fan of authentic American BBQ in the Greater Manchester area. Big improvement in food quality. We will return. The music is brilliant too.

For £23 or whatever it cost, I was expecting a bit more. This was the second time I’ve visited. The first time I was underwhelmed. I thought it was probably because I ordered the wrong thing. However, I’m underwhelmed a second time with a completely different order. I will say that the fries were really good. But that’s about it.

Nice place, nice food and pleasant atmosphere staff on shift at the time of our visit were nice and friendly too! I do understand that costs are higher these days and appreciate the effort but I still thought it a little pricey for what we had. Would still go again, maybe when there is an act on, it’s just more of a treat due to the expense.

Wasn’t sure what to expect, see this place on various socials, firstly parking. There is on street parking, but it gets very busy, there is no dedicated carpark. We booked on-line, so arrived at the appropriate time and got sat down quickly. Left to ponder the menus, which I’d looked up on line before hand ( we all do that don’t we)

Tbh, it took time for staff if we wanted drinks, and again some time later for them to arrive. Yes it was busy, I get it, but 30 mins from sitting down to actually getting a drink is a bit long in my humble opinion. Anyway, food ordered and when it came it was lovely. I had the brisket tray and that was bang on. I would happily have it again. Lots of choice food wise. It’s not the cheapest place but you get what you pay for. Pecan pie for dessert. Had a few cocktails and had a nice time overall. Staff are friendly, good decor. For am old school bus, it does alright. Recommend.
