A huge thank you to the amazing team: Nehemiah, Rowena, Netta, Wayne, and DaQuan. If I missed anyone, please charge it to my mind, not my heart! Keep up the outstanding work and keep smiling.
We ordered snow crab, hushpuppies and shrimp..and they sent our clams and potatoes for us to try for free! Everything was cooked to perfection! The crab was fat and juicy, cooked perfect and cracked and slid out like a dream! The shrimp was sweet and soft, the hushpuppies were hot and crispy and the clams were fat and amazing!
The staff though….the staff was amazing! Attentive, engaging, happy and looked like they genuinely enjoyed being there!
We are on our way back there right now for lunch! Don’t pass up this gem, you’ll miss out on a great meal and great experience if you do!
was very bland an very dry an was not chopped up to my liking but some ppl may like it that way. But what really got me was. The service was not the best an the price Was way to much for me now there was a lot on shrimp on thr plat I would say well over a pound. But over all not worth the money but great shrimp
The scallops had an “off” smell and taste and I was a little afraid to eat them. The crab cake had zero .. And I do mean zero seasoning. If you’re looking for great seafood, I’d say try another place.
We did tell the server, and she brought me some shrimp instead… They were at least not “off” but also not very flavorful, most everything went into the trash. I don’t enjoy leaving a bad review for such nice people. But I hope the owner will take some time to try the food and make some changes. This place could be great if the food was good. As it is, I see no reason to visit a second time. Pretty disappointed spending $60 just to throw it out.
You order them to be fried, light, medium, heavy. Which is nice.
You can tell they take pride in their food. People have called it a ” hole in the wall” I don’t agree. It has a crab shack vibe. It really feels authentic to what most would think about for sea food. It’s clean. That’s what I care about
By the time you place your order at the counter, get you table tag and get your drink and plastic ware the food is delivered.
It’s delivered HOT and fresh.
If you are in this neck of the woods and have s hankering for sea food stop here. You won’t be sorry
I tried the sampler plate with shrimp, scallops and flounder, double green beans and hushpuppies. The serving was large and perfectly cooked. I got a light fry and couldn’t tell much difference to the medium fry but tasty regardless.
The popcorn shrimp weren’t much smaller than the regular shrimp so I’d opt for the regular shrimp over popcorn. The flavor is much better.
Slaw is excellent. Green beans tasty. Sweet tea delicious.
The only “downside” was the she crab soup. It wasn’t bad at all but I’m more familiar with the Outer Banks she crab which is thicker, more bisque-like, and with sherry. This was more of a crab soup with potatoes and loads of butter. Not bad, just not the she crab I’m used to.
I look forward to returning though and trying more of the menu! Great spot.
