Welcoming Greek eatery in a Mediterranean space with sea-blue accents & belly dancers on weekends.

Went for lunch after New Year’s and was pleasantly surprised at the decor. The restaurant was fairly quiet so we got wonderful service. The food was great as always. My friend would add to be sure to check ingredients if you’re vegetarian and not assume a dish is meatless.

The BEST greek salad in Kansas City can be found at Tasso’s in the Waldo neighborhood. Start your meal off with the flaming saganaki, the “Tour of Greece” dip platter, and the greek salad served with their signature greek dressing. You can’t end the meal without trying the baklava! This spot is serving up more than just great food…you can also experience: plate throwing, live entertainment, and belly dancing! Delicious food and fun all wrapped into one at Tasso’s. The owners are extremely friendly and thankful for your business! Check out Tassos’ asap!

This place was absolutely fantastic. The layout and lighting in Tasso’s really makes for a relaxing and unique environment. If not for the disrespectful Gen Z’ers sitting next to us being loud, drunk and obnoxious, the evening would have been perfect.
Also, the blue ouzo was a real treat. Many thanks to Tasso’s for adding a little class to Kansas City.

I love this place. If you didn’t realize it was a Greek restaurant when you walk in, you are color blind. The blue and white theme/motif is evident throughout.
The staff was very friendly and fun. I was told by the owner that you should ask for Big John, the owner! Lol.
Although I ordered my food to go, I would have loved to have stayed and enjoyed the atmosphere just a bit longer.
The gyro was great!!
Thanks guys for the nice experience!

First our waiter was really sweet, and very welcoming. The restaurant is very beautiful. But the food is not very appetizing or appealing. My mom ordered the baked chicken, the chicken was under cooked. I had the pizza and I added chicken, my pizza was okay the chicken was dry and undercooked. How can chicken be undercooked and dry at the same time.

This was my favorite when I lived in the city and I have not been back for several years. Finally got to go on Friday night, it is still amazing and my favorite place! From the delicious food, to the entertainment, to the whole atmosphere, you get a truly wonderful and authentic experience. We had so much fun watching the belly dancer, then getting to participate, dance, and break plates… Opa!

They’ll put a smile on your face. It’s a fun inviting atmosphere. And yes . . . The food is delicious. Served hot and fresh, this is a talented kitchen.

I understood that we came in at open, I understand the clear frustration that it was a party of 16 people. What I don’t understand is how you greet people in a rude manner when they walk into the door, how your server barely touches the table and can’t remember people’s order at that table. But when it came to servicing the other tables in the restaurant they got quality service. The extra icing on top was the forced gratuity that was added cause it was a party of 16 people. Won’t be back even though the food was good and it was nice to actually have some Greek food since my heritage is Greek.
