Such a treat to have outstanding food and even better service! Can’t wait to come back!
If you are in the mood for some great bbq, excellent service, and an incredible draft beer selection, start driving to Food & Fire now. Oh, the cheesecake was also outstanding!!
Upon arrival on a Friday afternoon, we were warmly greeted by our server, David, who promptly seated us. My nephew was eager to find a satisfying burger, but was undecided between a burger or their Pulled Pork Sandwich, David our server expertly guided him toward their renowned smoked meat options, suggesting the pulled pork sandwich. It was a fantastic recommendation, complemented by fries and pickles. I opted for a similar dish, enjoying the pulled pork on a platter without bread, paired with the same French Fries and a side of their remarkable barbecue baked beans. These beans were a delightful & Tasty surprise, generously packed with smoked meat, unlike the typical offerings at other barbecue establishments.
We started our meal with an onion ring basket that was far from ordinary. The onion rings were dusted in a delectable dry rub, reminiscent of the seasoning used on their ribs, making for a memorable appetizer.
David’s service was exceptional. He went above and beyond, bringing us a sample of their cornbread with butter and engaging in genuine conversation, especially after learning my nephew was visiting from out of town. David made the atmosphere feel more like sharing a meal amongst friends rather than at a restaurant, which added to our enjoyment.
The portion sizes were impressive; I personally couldn’t finish my platter, but I took the leftovers home, and they were just as delicious reheated. I also enjoyed a glass of sweet tea, which perfectly complemented the smoky flavors of my meal. Their selection of barbecue sauces was a highlight as well, with options ranging from sweet and tangy to hot and spicy. I particularly enjoyed the sweet house barbecue sauce on my pulled pork, while my nephew favored the sweet and tangy variant.
Overall, our experience was a resounding 10 out of 10, thanks not only to the outstanding food but also thanks to David’s exceptional hospitality. If you’re in the area–perhaps skiing at Montage Mountain, visiting the waterpark, or catching a concert during the warmer months, Food and Fire Barbecue Taphouse is a must-visit. With an impressively large selection of beers on tap and a seasonal drink menu that will tantalize anyone’s palette this place is a fantastic choice for delicious, affordable dining. We can’t wait to return!
The bartender was very friendly and on top of things despite a relatively busy bar. Never failed to check in on us or bring us more drinks.
Easily the best experience eating out!!!
Highly recommend bringing your appetite!
